I have two suggestions for Dr. McLaughlin that I hope he will take into consideration. Don’t make dirty jokes while a patient is crying out in agony and please don’t take it upon yourself to tell patients how long they should expect to live without consulting their family first. My family had kept any life expectancy info or any negative info away from my mother for 4 months as she battled leukemia. She told us from day one that she didn’t want to hear any info about it because she didn’t want it to slow her progress. So him telling her, “I give you about a year” and then adding something along the lines of, "oh and if your red blood cell numbers(Or white cells or whatever it was) start going down, start praying.” Was devastating to her. She completely fell apart. My family spent months keeping info like that from her just for him to blurt it out like it was nothing. It was awful of him to just make the decision on his own to tell her without consulting the family first.

Zero stars!!! Unable to meet with a physician... just an NP!!! Found a great oncologist and the office staff will not release the test results!! I can't believe these people treat cancer patients this way. What a HUGE disappointment....I would not recommend these nasty people to anyone!

Dr McLaughlin has been amazing in his care, his understanding and in his total honesty. He really cares about his patients. In the most horrifying experience of my life (cancer), his caring personality and wonderful sense of humor, softened the reality I faced. I would and do trust him with my life.

Dr. Mclaughlin is a great doctor. He is very personable and takes however much time you need with him. He is funny, he is a person who takes a tough situation and makes you feel at ease when in his care. Everyone in his office goes out of their way to get to know you and to make you feel welcome.
