After many months of productive and compassionate treatment, Dr Lowell showed me a side of himself that resulted in my ending treatment there. I was very late for my last appointment. (my bad) I was unable to get anybody on the phone and left a message that I was late and they should call me if they wanted to cancel the appt. When I got there it was obvious that the atmosphere in the office was tense. Instead of sending me home, he led me to his office, said there was little time to talk and proceeded to tell me what I should do if I am going to be late. The manner in which he addressed me and his final comment, which included a reference to a traumatic experience that caused me months of mental and emotional pain led me to seek treatment elsewhere. The huge and abrupt change to his demeanor was scary to me. This occurred one year ago. I must add that his office staff was always top notch always.

Dr. Lowell believes that ADHD, a neurological disorder, is something that can be grown out of. That should tell you everything you need to know about him. He should have retired a decade ago, but instead, the people of North Central Ohio continue to have him inflicted upon them.

When I first saw Dr. Lowell he seemed like a good doctor. I am educated and well read and like to be involved in my treatment plan. Dr. Lowell seemed fine with this until I questioned his choices of treatment. My extensive research and knowledge on my conditions and treatment seemed to threaten his fragile ego. He invalidated and belittled my experience of withdrawal from psych drugs. He wanted to take me off of the drugs too rapidly and in a way that I was uncomfortable with. I felt that this would have been detrimental to my mental and physical health. He is very knowledgeable about TMS and the TMS treatment did help. However, his bedside manners are atrocious and he does not believe or take psych drug withdrawal seriously. If you are at all interested in being a partner in your treatment plan, then Dr. Lowell is not the doctor for you.

Dr. Lowell has helped me get back on track. He is the first physician that has treated me like a person, not just a patient. I am doing much better now thanks to the right combination of medications.

Dr. Lowell had misdiagnosed my girlfriend for a long time. She is prescribed medications that are having the opposite affects on her and medications that are not to be mixed together. His negligence has led to her life being a downward spiral and she has gotten a lot worse over time. She has not received the proper care that someone with a serious mental illness deserves.

My wife has been seeing Dr. Carlos Lowell for almost 2 decades. He has done NOTHING to help her condition, and mentally has gotten worse over the years. However, she gets him to do whatever she wants, and what she wants is medication. She self medicate’s, will not take the medication as prescribed, she is like a yo-yo. I have sat in the appointments with her, if I say anything I have Hell to pay afterward. My daughters have contacted him by phone, email, and letter. He has ignored all my req

Dr Lowell has been treating my mother for decades. She has mental issues and will not take her meds as prescribed. I called, emailed and sent letters throughout the years on behalf of my father, pleading for help. We confronted my mother, Mom supposedly asked about the correspondence, he said he never received anything.. So I resent him ALL my copies. I know there are privacy laws, I asked my mother to let me sit in on a session, she refused. His treatment has been neglectfully disappointing.

Dr. Lowell saw my wife a few times and was very short with her and seemed extremely frustrated. The absolute opposite of what my wife needed at that time. I would never recommend Dr. Lowell.
