Dr. Carole Shelley, MD

I am new in town and went to another doctor at first. Dr. Shelley was my second opinion appt and she is by far superior in her experience, bedside manner and support. I will always be thankful for how quickly she helped me with a very distressing problem. Thank you to her staff also!

Zero Stars would be more appropriate. My surgery was performed by Dr. Shelley, and there is absolutely no change in my condition. After performing the surgery, she never spoke to me, or my loved one, never called to speak with me (as the hospital had done the day after) and even her staff was shocked to hear that my husband and I had not heard from Dr. Shelley after surgery. When confronted with this situation, she simply said "that doesn't sound like something I would do." She mentioned how long she's been doing this, and that she's "not perfect". This was an explorative surgery, which would have made any doctor want to speak with someone close to the patient about the results. Dr. Shelley should know after 22 years of experience that she should speak to the patient/loved one and also be as close to perfect as she can when she's inside of someone else's body. She belongs in research, NOT in front of patients. She has ZERO bedside manner. See someone else if you need surgery!!!!

Dr Shelley is great. Her nurse Crystal is so unprofessional and rude. I'm switching my doctor even though I love doctor Shelley.

I came in for some tests to see if I could get pregnant and she explained what was needed. I asked how much the testing was going to be and she told me "Not too expensive around $800". After it was all said and done 3 tests plus doctors visit cost me over $2,000 only to find out my health was normal. I wish she would have told me how much the cost was actually going to be so I could have opted to not have some of the tests done. P.S. Dr. Shelley was nice enough but her nurse was not nice at all

She is direct and to the point. I like that. When I mentioned that I was scared before an exam 2 weeks after a full hysterectomy she was very kind and calming. Their office can be quite busy so I always prepare a list of questions pertaining to the reason I'm there. Her nurse, Kim, is very professional and kind even when the office is obviously in afternoon meltdown. ;-) She improved my quality of life immensely and I feel like I'm ready to live again pain free!!
