My son and I have been seeing Dr. Mauss for several years. My son is an adult, with multiple disabilities. She never talks down to him, and she always finds a way to make him feel comfortable. She speaks directly to him, giving him the opportunity to discuss medical issues one on one with her. I find her to be very thorough, compassionate and ethical. She is not a doctor who will prescribe unnecessary medications...no matter how much the patient feels they may need them. I like that about her.

Several times she has ordered medicine that she knows I have a reaction to. If it were not for the pharmacist and my insurance company I would have been dead. Refuses to give me pain medicine for my medical condition, yet writes them out for others like candy. Several times she has pushed a variety of pills that don't work. She makes me feel like a lab rat.
