I have been trying to get a prescription refilled for 2 weeks. When I can get through to the office, I was told the Dr. would be calling in and that the message would be given to her. Supposedly, she is on vacation but the question is, why is no other MD covering her patients and why after 4 phone calls is not anyone telling me why they will not refill the script?

You couldn't possibly understand how long you wait in this office. If you aren't crammed into the tiny waiting room, they shut you up by putting you in a room. An hour and a half is normal wait.

Requesting my records was a very, very negative experience with the office staff. After returning the requested form, it took one month and 3 phone calls to receive my records. At no point in any of the three phone calls was I informed there would be a $33 charge. I was led to believe faxing the records would be at no charge. I would have gladly paid the charge and avoided the wasted time spent if I had been told. What had been a good 4 year experience, ended with a bad taste in my mouth.

Dr Popkin is excellent. She's easy to talk to, listens, cares. I had colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and the pill cam. I had the procedures done at Memorial West and they arranged transportation to / from so I could go alone. Her secretaries aren't the best out there. I had to call twice asking for update on my authorization. The doctor is worth it though, she trained at UM, very knowledgeable .

First impressions come from the office staff. They are not professional at all. Many times I have heard them speak poorly of the doc, using foul language. The doctor is cold, curt, & doesn't make you feel like she cares. Her office is never busy, which says it all. Don't waste your time or money. There are many other places to go where you can be treated like a real person. It's just not at this office.
