After listening to my heart history, issues and reviewing my Cardio’s report, Dr. Acevedo explained our options in layman’s terms being clear and concise. He was professional but casual and listened to our concerns. We are happy that we waited for an appointment with him based on my Cardio’s strong recommendation. After our meeting, we both felt comfortable and looking forward to having the surgery done.

Professional, pleasant, listened and answered questions and concerns. I did not want pacemaker although my Cardiologist recommended it. I had been seeing Dr. Acevedo for Arrhythmia for several years. After having stroke, very high Arrhythmia and heart failure was referred to Dr. Acevedo for pacemaker. Explained to him I had read up on other options and preferred not to have device implanted in my chest. He explained all options and decided on Cardioversion and I felt more comfortable with this option. BEST decision for me! 2 years later I am still doing great! Prior to the procedure U could barely walk across the room without feeling out of breath. After reading other comments I could not believe we were talking about the same Doctor. I give the highest score possible!

I had been referred to Dr Acevado through my PC Doctor. Dr Acevado is worth the wait, if you have to wait for an appointment. He was thorough in explaining my condition prepared Me for all the steps to making arrangement for the ablation & a full recovery. He was kind, professional & unflappably beyond his years. It was the best decision I’ve have ever made to have Dr. Acevado as my Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist. I had a heart ablation scheduled and Dr Acevedo was not comfortable with the low heartbeat once completed. I stayed an extra night, he fit me in his already long day schedule with a smile and very detailed pacemaker information. His confidence I would feel so much better, he still made it my decision, but an easy decision. Being only 60 I was nervous but learned some of my heart issues were from many years ago diet and smoking ( 30 years ago) plus my God given heart issue, the pacemaker was the right answer. Dr Acevedo, along with his team Emily are amazing! I read some of the replies about scheduling and not calling back patients in a timely manner… really people, rate the Dr and be thankful he is so knowledgeable and smart to fix you! Be kind… it makes life much more enjoyable ( and because of this Dr I will enjoy MY life much longer:-)

I had several visits with this great Dr. He has done battery changers, and battery chargers. He did my 1st. Op. When I was in very bad condition with fibulation. Thank you so much for your great work.

Dr. Acevedo is a well known for the excellent work he does with the electrical circuitry of the heart. Both my wife and I have had successful eblations. However, recently my wife's heart rate has gone below 40 BPM. We called his office on a Thursday and Friday with NO response from the Dr. The weekend came, heart rate still low, no one to call. Monday multiple calls, nice receptionist, but NO response at all from the Dr., not even through a nurse. Tuesday, after more calls, the nurse finally called. Discussed the issues, said she'd get back to us, never did. I we were dealing with a sore ankle it may not have mattered. However, the heart is a big deal, and the actions from Dr. Acevedo and his team is totally unacceptable.

Yes! I would recommend DrAcevedo to my friends and family. He answered my questions promptly and with knowledge. When I Had a problem with my heartbeat he knew exactly what to do and his team was right on course. Keep In mind, if you read and follow his instructions and maintain a healthy lifestyle you will do much better! It is also the patients responsibility to keep in touch with YOUR insurance company. Please remember that physicians can not control the mindset of insurance companies. I’m very thankful for this doctor and would not hesitate have a third procedure under his care!

Catheter ablation

3 weeks after pacemaker/defib operation, started getting flu like symptoms, increasing muscle pain,loss of appetite,night sweats and low grade fever. This went on for 8 weeks, after various doctor appointments,testing, office staff miscommunication,incompetence and the frustration from the Villages medical entities involved... I admitted myself to Advent hospital Ocala. I've been in the hospital going on 6 days, running a battery of test, to no conclusion to condition and Dr Acevedo has yet to appear at my room with any explanation or theory as to my condition. I've been waiting 24 hrs for a cardiologist to show up and run a test on the pacmake/deb leads to rule out an infection or heart valve bacteria. My frustration and stress levels are maxed out.
