Dr. Chandragupta Vedak, MD

Lifechanging!!! Dr. Vedak has been with me through it all! I started being his patient when I was 19 and in a horrible car accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), I am now 40 years old! He has been there for me through it all, college, marriage, and raising two beautiful children (now 9 & 3). Things have been both very dark and very bright for me but I always felt I had his support through each of my mental issues. I simply cannot say enough good things about this Dr. I can say that I would not be the same person I am today without him, and I love who I am! He started being my Dr. when I lived in McHenry, stayed my Dr. when I went to college and I would commute from Wood Dale, IL to Crystal Lake, IL just to see him. Now I live in Genoa City, WI and I will still gladly drive to Crystal Lake to see him!!

Dr Vedak completely changed my life. He was so kind, caring and helpful to me, after years of being turned away by other doctors. I suffer from several serious medical issues and, as a result, had been prescribed opioid pain medicine for many years. They no longer worked and had to take them only to not go through withdrawals . When I begged doctors for help to get off of those meds, I was treated like I was a terrible person by other physicians. Finally, Dr. Vedak took me on as a patient and singlehandedly got me off that stuff within a very short span of time. I finally am free of that garbage and I will forever be grateful for his help. I’ve been with him for over 3 years and he still stands behind me and never misses an opportunity to say how proud he is of me. When I was at my worst, Dr Vedak was the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with any mental health issues like depression, anxiety and of course getting off any type of dependency.

He is seriously the best psych dr. Had been to numerous and he was very insightful and knew exactly how to negotiate multiple meds. We love him and he was a game changer for our family.

Dr Vedak is absolutely wonderful! He is caring, kind, patient and extremely knowledge. He has gone out of his way to help my son. He always treats him with respect, even when our son is agitated. We are so grateful to him!

Not likely to ever recommend this doctor

this is the man who prescribed a nonstimulant for add or adhd for a kid with literal retardation. The child cant even stay awake for over a hour and takes him like 2 hours to brush his teeth.Has this man ever even tried cofffee? he doesnt know what is stimulant.

Dr Vedak is an amazing physician. He does a great job addressing your mental health issue so you can live your life with quality. He also has this ability to help his patients understand mental illness in a way that it not their fault for having the disease...he is so great at that!. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind caring and generous to the community!!
