First Gastro Appointment
After waiting 2 months my husband was able to see Dr. Chang for an initial visit. For the past few years he has had abdominal pain that has sent him to the ED at least three times. He has had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, and a scan to see what the potential problem is. The pain is not chronic but flairs up from time to time. My husband spent more time getting into MyChart that actually seeing Dr. Chang. He was dismissive, didn't even exam him and basically told him there was nothing he could do unless he was in pain at the moment. He told him he didn't know what test to do on him because he was not in pain, to water instead of soda and to only take omeprazole when he has a flare up. Very disappointing and not worth the specialist copay.I do not recommend.

Dr. Oh was friendly and seemed experienced. His staff was very good and the experience for my procedure was comfortable and quick. He doesn't spend a lot of time with you. I saw him before my procedure and offered for me to ask any questions. I did not see him afterwards but printed material was given to my wife. I am pleased with the care I received from him and the staff.

It wasn't until after my 5th appointment that I knew what was wrong with me or what I was being treated for. The doctor never spent more than 3 minutes with me at each visit. He would ask his questions and then get up and leave. Never said a thing to me even though I have a life threatening disease. I didn't find out what it was until I emailed the practice from the online portal and then suddenly all of the information got entered (and some of it was wrong). I left the Caromont network and my new doctors are great and spend as much time with me as I need and even taught me how to manage the disease instead of "you are going to die in 6 months". It's a shame because I'm sure the doctor intelligent but he has no skills whatsoever when it comes to his patients.

After my Mother left the hospital, we were told to see Dr Oh within 3 weeks. His Receptionist could care less, very rude ...finally after calling multiple times appt was given 5 weeks out. My Mother was very sick and passed away without seeing him. I'd never go to his office. He needs better staff who sympathize with their patients.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. During a routine procedure, he did not measure for the proper instrument and almost killed me. I woke up 10 days later in ICU, stayed in hospital an additional 7 days, was out of work for 4 months and now, 4 years later, everything still isn't right.
