when you have brain surgery you would think your Dr. would come and see you after the surgery, but not Dr Karas. I had asked 4 times to see him, and it was always a no show, he sent other people to explain the surgery and they were not even in the operating room so how could they answer my question. I believe he didn't want to see me because he did damage to cause me to lose feeling in my leg and it cannot be repaired.

Excellent procedure and results
Dr. Karas spent nearly 2 hours with me prior to surgery. Answering the multitude of questions I had and explaining every portion of the surgery he was proposing. On the day of the surgery, he met with me for about 10 minutes. I was the first of his procedures that day, so one of the surgeons that assisted did the follow up post procedure.

My experience with Dr Karas and his nursing staff is very disappointing. Not only do they treat you like a drug addict when asking for a pain medication refill, but they also ignore phone calls/voicemails and Dr Karas doesn’t follow up with you after surgery. Very disappointing. Will not use Dr Karas again.

He will not ever meet with you unless you call/request that he sees you at your appointments. He tends to send in his MA or nurses to see you for 5 mins. Dr. Karas doesn't seem to truly care for me or how I am doing. After spinal surgery he had zero follow-ups scheduled for me until I called and asked and he still sent a nurse who didn't know why I had the surgery in the first place. He performs his surgery and that is it then he doesn't care what happens next.

I love this doctor. When we met he was very patient with me and explained in detail what would be the best plan. He doesn't push surgery on you. He always listens to all questions and answers them in such a way that anyone could understand. He is kind, caring and very helpful. He has come to visit me in the hospital when I was there under another physician's care. I could tell more stories of what he's done for me but there's not enough space here.

After the last surgeon put the spinal cord stimulator in on the edge of my spinal cord and it was hitting all the nerves, my back was full of staph. This man saved my life, he is patient and kind and truly cares, he also will do ALL the necessary testing asap
