Dr. Christine Hansen, MD

I was seeing Dr. Hansen for reoccuring yeast infections over many visits, trying to treat me for months. She never gave any comprehensive tests or got relevant lab work done, claimed the lab testing didn't exist, ie wasn't available technology. Wanted to put me on a long term course of severe medication that would have impacted my day-to-day well being in a significant way. So glad I went to another provider that did actual lab work, prescribed a 1 week course of medication and worked with me to clear up my persistent issue. I would go to anyone but Dr. Hansen and her NP, both suggested harmful and archaic solves for a simple yeast infection.

I feel very validated after reading reviews. Dr Hansen was responsible for interpreting my fertility hormone test. She seemed very bothered and inconvenienced with having to give me results. She was not clear or gave further information and I had to ask many questions which seemed to upset her more. She was very direct but very insensitive in the timeliness of me having to freeze eggs. Regardless of my hormonal test results she was insensitive about my needing to make a decision immediately around egg freezing. Bed side manner was horrible. I would expect this from a male Dr, not a female obgyn. Fertility is a sensitive and challenging topic for many people. Hope she learns that empathy would do her good. Will never go back. And the front desk woman also appears to be very inconvenienced by having to work there. PA Jen is fabulous. If u have to see anyone, see her!

Dr. Christine Hansen is wonderful. She is smart, knowledgeable, and caring. She is clear and compassionate--providing information and options while not being forceful. She is a kind and thoughtful listener. I am grateful for Dr. Hansen and her excellent care.

I have been seeing Dr. Hansen for over 11 years. She was instrumental in diagnosing my breast cancer and is an excellent physician, who always took the time to listen to my concerns and provide feedback. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Hansen was to provide a procedure to remove part of an IUD from my wife's uterus. When she failed to remove the plastic fragment after a couple hours, she recommended a rape kit to scour the uterus. We had no idea how violent the procedure was. Ms. Hansen failed to inform us how badly some people react. My wife vomited from the pain of the procedure. We should have sued Dr. Christine Hansen for the harm she caused my wife and would recommend that to anyone who has suffered similarly under her care.

I saw Dr. Hansen twice for bleeding uterus (I am an older woman). The second time I had doubts, based on my first experience. I was referred by my BCH Internal Medicine physician for a tissue sample removal/analysis. Dr. Hansen was rude, jammed her instruments in me with no regard for the pain I would feel. She made some rather rude comments as to my reaction to the pain. Finally, I told her that I would finish going through with the procedure. Bear in mind that I am not a sissy. I am a dedicated athlete who swims or hikes almost every day and have worked through all kinds of physical pain in my life. Dr. Hansen was not in the least bit gentle or compassionate. My Internal Medicine doctor apologized for sending me there, I was told by this physician that although Dr. Hansen knows what she is doing that she is not sympathetic or patient-friendly. I have been Dr. Hanson's patient for several months now and I have nothing but praise for Dr. Hanson. I am Diabetic for 43 yrs so I have seen a few Endocrinologists and never saw one that had the knowledge and patient concern that she has . Am very happy to have found her and even brought my daughter , who has had difficulties finding a good for her, specialist. She gives each patient her attention and time!! Thanks Dr. Hanson

Dr. Hansen is a good listener and answers all questions. I never seem rushed through an exam. I have been seeing her for over 10 years and had some medical issues that were taken seriously and more than satisfactorily treated.

Scheduled a Pap smear after searching for a gyn for awhile. My general practitioners always wanted to do the paps but with a family history of ovarian cancer I decided it was time for a gyn doc. I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Hansen spent time asking questions and getting my history. She ordered follow-up tests and an ultrasound. Desp the difficulty in obtaining a specimen, she was thorough but gentle in making sure she was able to get a good specimen. Highly recommend.

Dr Hansen made me feel like I was a hypochondriac even though I knew something was not right. I was having a period for 3 weeks of a month and major cramps/pain and she made me feel terrible in my appointment. I went to a different doctor in Boulder after a friend recommended him to me, and in less than 1 month he helped me learn I had endometriosis and had me on a treatment plan which solved all my issues. He was patient and supportive which I got none of from Dr Hansen.

The most unprepared, most uncaring Doctor I have ever had the misfortune to see. Run, don't walk away from this ill-mannered, rude and uncaring Doctor. Worst experience I have ever had in an ob gyn environment. Miserable.

Dr. Hansen is not compassionate, personable, nor will she provide a bed side manner that will make you feel cared, however, she is damn smart and a great surgeon. I had seen at least 3 other docs in two different states that didnt have an answer or option to help me and she did. She changed my life for the better when for years nobody else had an answer. If you need another a medical opinion I would recommend her, but she is not the type of doc that looks at your overall care or lifestyle.
