Best Surgeon Around!
He is so kind, listens to you and cares about making you feel better. He's open to new ideas and doesn't just 'generalize' you with standard answers. I had a RNY gastric bypass 17 years ago, and I still follow up yearly with him. He has removed my gallbladder, such a breeze, taken care of an internal hernia complications from my bypass, another breeze thru surgery. I love this office. It's not just have your bypass and they don't care how you do afterward. 17 years later, now I'm 70 years old and still doing well and making those check ups. Great doctor!

Superb Surgeon
I had gastric sleeve in 2015 and converted to bypass in 2018 due to severe reflux. I had an intestinal hernia in 2019. Dr. Edwards did a superb job on all 3 surgeries. My recovery time following all 3 surgeries was minimal and no real pain. He is the best in the business, in my opinion.

Port Removal
He is one of the most caring, knowledgeable surgeons I know. His bedside manner is superb. He removed my husbands Port and it is scar free. I recommend all my family and friends to him. He is the best.

Absolute worst doctor ever! He performed what was supposed to be a very simple routine surgery. He made a mistake leaving me unable to eat. He did a second surgery to correct the first mistake resulted in a bigger mess than the first surgery. Had to travel to teaching hospitals to attempt to correct - still dealing with complications 5 years later. If you want problems the rest of your life - he is your guy - otherwise run as fast as you can to someone else!

Dr. Edward is simply the best gastric surgeon in the United States in my opinion. Almost zero scars and a piece of cake (LOL) with my gastric sleeve. A 40 minute procedure. Aftercare was perfect. He is caring and always available and appointments can be made with only a short wait time and immediately if there is an emergency. Great bedside manner and immense experience in minimally invasive surgery. See him without hesitation and as a first choice Mission Hospital surgical weight loss surgeon.
