The most disturbing thing about my visit is in the notes about the appointment in “my chart” it states that “the risks and benefits” of a procedure the doctor suggested I undergo “were discussed with patient” and that I agreed to proceed. No discussion of any sort happened. Appalling! The visit was quick, I did not feel listened to, he even sighed at one point as I tried to explain symptoms. Offered NO guidance on foods to eat and avoid. Offered no possible options for relief of symptoms in the interim at all. I completed a review the office sent to me following my visit, no one responded at all. I will not be returning to this office or doctor for future care.

The entire staff at Charleston GI was friendly and professional. Dr. Lawrence introduced himself and asked if I had any questions. The nursing staff was great. Everyone made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. I would definitely recommend this facility!

I love the fact that Dr Lawerence truly cares , he listens. I have been with him approx 10 yrs or so.since MUSC He truly has been a life savior fo me. I have my scopes regularly with him. I couldn’t be any more happier with his bed side manners.

This was my second appointment with this practice and my first with Dr Lawrence. On first appt the PA recommended high fiber diet. After several weeks and no relief I returned to meet with Dr. Lawrence. Without even an exam, he simply recommended more fiber to resolve hemorrhoids that have been persistent for 6 months. I felt rush and left without a viable resolution to my problem. Suggested a colonoscopy but nothing for the hemorrhoids.
