I went in for a yearly visit which is covered at 100% by insurance I received a bill from the DR office. Unfortunately, I didn't question it and I paid it. Later when I was looking at the bill I saw I was charge for a second visit on the same date. I was told it was because we discussed something outside of a normal exam. It took me weeks to get the office to return my calls to find out what exactly I was being charged from. I was told pain in my hand, now I did mention I had pain in my hand and I was wondering if I should go have it seen. Without looking at it or touching it, xrays nothing she said it sounds like an angry tendon. I was bill 200.00 for that and was never told that our discussion of 3 mins would warrant an additional charge. I would have thought that during a physical you discuss your overall health. Caution surprise charges.

Dr. Schimke has been amazing. She listens carefully to my concerns, answers my questions, and most importantly, treats me like an intelligent human being capable of making my own decisions about my healthcare and lifestyle. She is never condescending or uncaring, like many other doctors out there. I'm surprised anyone would give her a negative review!

Ignored Critical Test Results
I visited because I was not feeling well. Blood was drawn to find out what was going on. This was the Friday before Memorial Day. Blood results came in on the portal early afternoon, it showed my kidney was failing. I did not receive a call. I did not want to go to the hospital without a referral of the doctor and her calling ahead. I received no calls all weekend. My sister had to call Tuesday afternoon (after the long weekend) and ask the staff to tell her to read the test results. They were rude on the phone, my condition deteriorated over the weekend. Finally, someone from the office called and told me to go to the emergency room, they would call ahead. Got to the emergency room, they never called ahead, I waited almost 2 hours to be seen. Horrible care. Didn't call to check in at any point. Had another issue that was blown off by her and caused me to be admitted into ICU.

Horrible Care
Always feel rushed, not listened to at all. Doesn't respond in a timely manner to questions, refills, or lab results. Office staff is rude, wait time is long but when you are there waiting for an appointment nobody is ever on the phone.

Horrible. Booked an appointment with her but hadn’t had blood work since before Covid and wanted a complete checkup. I’ve been having uncomfortable symptoms for months and talked to her about it. She said, “Let’s do blood work and go from there.” A few days later, I got the results and all was normal. I used the web portal to ask what this all meant with regard to my symptoms. No response for 4 days. Asked again and was told by an assistant to make an appointment. I was just there! Finally, after speaking with her office manager, Dr. replied with, make an appointment. She claims I was there for a physical so she can’t answer questions. At my “physical” she never even used her stethoscope. No heart, or lungs listened to, no eyes checked, nothing! But that was a complete physical and we can’t answer questions. What an idiot!

Dr. Schimke doesn’t care about her patients, their pain levels, or their health. After another provider left I was referred to Dr. Schimke and it has been nothing but a nightmare since our first visit. She doesn’t care about you, she doesn’t care if you’re in pain, and she is incredibly condescending. Do yourself a favor, avoid her like the plague. My toddlers pretend doctor set can provide more relief.

I will never recommend Dr.Schimke nor was I satisfied in the least bit with my appointment. She had. I care or concern for me and my situation whatsoever. She just sees patients based on her own personal beliefs and lumps everyone together and that’s that... she is a horrible doctor with no Bedside manner. Too bad she couldn’t be trained by the best which is Stephen Cobb and Jennie Miller.

Although sometimes the office isn't quite on their toes and things don't get done - calling in prescriptions, etc - Dr. Schimke is amazing! When was the last time a doctor stayed late because she listened to everything you needed to say? When was the last time your doctor talked to both your husband and you at the same time both with different appointment times? Dr. Schimke is caring and listens to all your concerns. She hears you and makes her decisions based on not only what tests tell her, but what you tell her. She genuinely cares about her patients!

It took almost a month to get Dr. Schimke to authorize refills on my regular Rx. That's 3+ weeks cold turkey on meds like anti seizure, antidepressant and birth control. After daily calls to her office, and many messages later, I reached her assistant that confirmed the request was received 3 weeks prior, but the Dr. hadn't done anything with it yet. She said she'd look into it and get back to be. Unfortunately while she was "looking into it" I had a BAD SEIZURE & ended up in the HOSPITAL
