When I met with Dr. Deford I was looking to establish care with a new PCP and expressed concern over not feeling healthy and wanting to lose weight and lower my medications. I was then met with a lecture on how whole foods are best, avoid bread because it doesn't grow on trees, keep moving, maybe try Whole30 (which is not supported by scientific evidence) and weight and clothing size isn't an indication of health. I know these things. I'm not stupid. I really did not feel heard. Additionally, he had a student with him and didn't ask for my consent to having them in the room. I cried the whole way home out of frustration after this appointment. I wasn't listened to and I felt like I was receiving a lecture I've heard a hundred times before.

Poor Quality
Didn’t listen to what I was mostly concerned about and instead focused on something entirely different wasn’t prescribed any pain medication but instead was prescribed a water pill which I wasn’t in need of at all when I went to another doctor was told to immediately stop taking water pill and because I wasn’t in need of it they could of very well of had some bad if not permanent or life threatening side effects. Dr Deford also said to schedule appointment for physical therapy again this wasn’t what I needed by going to a different doctor I was taken into emergency surgery for back surgery! I wouldn’t recommend Dr Deford for any of your medical needs!!!!
