Surgery
Would not recommend this surgeon or her team. Did not listen to the concerns of patient or family. Belittled concerns and did not consult other physicians when the patients status were beyond their capabilities. Complex patients require a team … not just a surgical approach, but rather a hospitalist team, diabetic consultations, etc. Surgical only teams are unable to manage the whole patient picture without help from other modalities when situations arise, Well in this patient’s case the surgical team only managed without consultation or peer input , as this patient decompensated, and they ignored the clinical picture … which resulted in a longer stay and poor outcome. Pt left hospital with a hospital acquired infection. Worst experience… nursing staff was great….they had complaints of this surgical service also.Never ever would have these surgeons cut or manage my care. Rating: -5
