Not great. My colonoscopy was scheduled for noon. I arrived at the hospital at 11, per instructions. I was prepared for the procedure and ready to go by 11:30. I sat in the waiting room, attached to an IV for 2 and a half hours before being taken for the procedure. The anesthetist discovered that the IV was not working so he had to start a new IV in the procedure room. After the procedure, I felt that the doctor responded to one of my questions in a very condescending manner. I was asked if I wanted anything to eat or drink. After 10 minutes, I was asked the same question. I had to remind the nurse to remove my IV after she told me I could get dressed. She was unable to reach my husband because she called the wrong # TWICE. When it was time to leave, she walked me to the elevator and sent me on my way. She did not take me to the main door nor did she verify that anyone picked me up. I could have walked home, for all she knew.

Colonoscopy
I had a colonoscopy performed on 10/1/22 by Dr. Coy of GI Partners of Illinois at the Lake Barrington facility. My former gastroenterologist retired and my primary physician recommended this practice to me. I'm glad he did. The whole process was efficient and well performed. I want to thank Dr. Coy, Joan, Nikki, Amy, and the other technicians who got me in and out quickly and smoothly. Thank you all.

I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Coy & his staff yesterday. It was a 5 year follow-up to the previous one he performed. His entire staff was very efficient in explaining the process. I have been going to him for a long time & highly recommend his services.

Thank You Dr Coy & Staff
This was my first colonoscopy so needless to say I was very nervous and anxious about the entire process. When Alicia called me a few days for the pre-screening she was great to talk to and put my mind at ease knowing that my "asset" was in great hands, LOL. When I arrived on Saturday morning, the receptionist was very friendly and I felt my anxiety start to lift. Then I met my intake Nurse Ashley, and she further made me feel at ease. Next I met Lois regarding the anesthesia and she solidified my calming feelings. Dr. Coy popped his head in my waiting area to say hello and I knew I was in good hands. Finally, Theresa was great to help me get comfortable in the bed. The procedure went well and Dr. Coy took the time to explain the results. After I was done, my discharge Nurse Joan made sure I was good to go. I walked out the back door feeling good about how the morning went. Very organized process from start to finish. Thank you to the Staff and Dr. Coy.

Had a recent EGD in the Lake Barrington facility of GI Partners of Northern Illinois. Prior to procedure I was apprehensive not having it at the hospital. After the procedure, my thoughts are that it was better being here; specialized service dedicated to gastrology services. Dr. Coy was personable and talked to me both before and after the procedure, and explained in detail his findings. Prior to discharge, I was also given a written report. Since there are are only drapes separating patients, the patient holding area is a bit noisy. As for the supporting staff, they were very professional, and I was treated very well. I highly recommend Dr. Coy and GI Partners of Illinois, LLC!

Dr. Coy & Staff
I can't say enough about what a GREAT place this is. The Doctor, Nurses, and Staff were all great! They all made me feel extremely comfortable, with what is one of the most uncomfortable procedures. Everyone was extremely friendly, and professional. After the procedure Dr. Coy explained everything, and made sure I understood, and addressed all of my concerns. I highly recommend GI Partners of Illinois, Doctor Coy, Nurses, and Staff!!

Dr. Coy and his staff are so competent and experienced that they made my colonoscopy procedure a breeze. Kathi, the nurse the prepared me for the procedure, is very experienced and polished with a great sense of humor. Holly, the nurse that was with me during and after the procedure was calm, relaxed, and made the procedure stress-free. Dr. Coy explained the procedure prior to the colonoscopy and when I awoke after the procedure, he was right there to explain the results. For me, the whole colonoscopy process just flew by.

Friendly atmosphere, very efficient office. I was admitted early, the procedure was explained to me and within minutes I was in the procedure room and being prepped. The anesthesiologist did an excellent job. Dr. Coy preformed the procedure and the next thing I knew I was in a recovery room. The nurse took excellent care of me and Dr. Coy came in to check on me and explain what they found. I would recommend Dr. Coy and the team at GI Partners to everyone needing a colonoscopy. Thank you.

I just had a colonoscopy yesterday at the GI Partners of Illinois Lake Barrington location. I wanted to post a review for others to see who are looking for an excellent physician to do the procedure. Look no further. From the initial phone call to make the appointment, to the follow up call today, I only experienced professionalism and kindness. I was very nervous, however my anxiety was met with sympathy and patience. I only have the highest words of praise for each of my encounters with all involved: Dr Coy, and the anesthesiologist, nurses Kathi and Alicia, the morning of receptionist, the pre-procedure information nurse Margie, the nurse who administered a covid test, and Amy who called me today to see how I was feeling. All of them made my experience very comfortable.
