Dr. Damen Hershberger, MD

My son is 5 years old, and from time to time, I think of the great experience I had with Dr. Hershberger and him making my c-section a breeze. I had another doctor up to 7 months of my pregnancy and was very nervous about switching over because of being high risk. I couldn’t of been more grateful for Dr. Hershberger and my experience with him and his staff!

He has amazing bedside manner. He truly cares about his patients. I have never met a better doctor. I am so thankful for Hershberger being my OBGYN for the last 7 years!

He makes you feel comfortable during every visit. Always takes interest in any concerns.

Not sure what all to say. Found out I was pregnant. Ran through the list of ob/gyn's and chose Hershberger. I worked with Mandy for my first 2 visits and then finally met Hershberger. I had noticed during each visit that minimal things were done or checked over. My first pregnancy was with a different OB and I noticed a big difference in how I was being treated and cared for as compared to how things were ran at Pearl. And I know to each their own and how things are ran but there should be a general process for each practice. Most time's my visits with Hershberger were hi and bye. No urine analysis each visit or much of anything. I ended up being a high risk pregnancy. Which in what I have studied could have been predicted if certain procedures were being done at my prenatal visits. Emergency c-section had been done which he was not around for, that happens... But the care after has been poor. It's a new practice and I guess will have to improve as it goes. Just was disappointed.

Dr. Hershberger is a kind doctor with a great bedside manner. I don't feel rushed when I have my visits with him and feel he explains everything very well. I have been seeing him for about 3 years, since my OB retired and he was one that was recommended from him. Glad I chose him and I refer him to others. His new office is very welcoming and PINK!

I have seen Dr. Hershberger for years. He helped me figure out why I was irregular in order to have kids. He has helped deliver my first two. While recently helping me deal with one of the worst moments of my life. I recently had a missed miscarriage, so I had to deliver early. Hershberger was not the doctor on call that night but he still showed up to check on me, and was there for me even when things took a turn of events. He advocated for me when I couldn’t myself. He is always so attentive and makes sure you don’t leave with any questions. Also he never makes you feel weird for thinking something may be wrong and helps you figure things out, instead of brushing it off. By far he is one of my favorite doctors I have ever had.

Dr Hershberger is compassionate about his patients and there care giving them the best that He can I have 12 kids making this number 13 I wouldn't want any other Doctor I Highly recommend him

Dr. Hershberger was initially supposed to perform a hysterectomy for me... And by a bizarre twist of fate ended up caring for me thru a high risk pregnancy instead. He's warm, greets my littles first, which I love, professional and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. He's attentive, he doesn't seem nearly as distracted and rushed as some other doctors I have experienced, even though he is incredibly busy. He's informative, there is no such thing as a stupid question with him. I was immediately at ease despite the fact I had mainly seen female doctors prior. I'd give him 100/100 for bedside manner.

I had a high risk pregnancy under the care of Dr. Damen Hershberger who provide me very poor care. He convinced me it was best for me to have an induction and said he would be there for me. I trusted him and at the given date, when i arrived at the hospital my baby was already in stress. He didn t showed up for 12 hours during which my baby went into stress several times. Instead of taking me for an emergency C-section, I was left at wesley hospital with only 2 nurses and never a doctor on sight. Finally in the morning he showed up to deliver my baby who was born with a red/purple color and several serious health problems. He never apologized or explained what happened. This was by far the worst experience of my life, one that marked my child forever. This doctor shouldn't t be able to practice.

Dr Hershberger dealt with me in humble, kind confidence . He was knowledgeable on my issue and took ample time to make sure I understood the plan. What a kind, compassionate, down to earth and knowledgeable doctor. I will go back for sure for my gynecological needs as I’m in great hands!

He is cold, blunt - left crying after appointments, inaccessible and short on explanations. At delivery barely saw him or heard from him, no support after whatsoever. Wendy, his nurse was very rude, she did everything she could to stress me out during/after my pregnancy, doctor was unware of lots of things or he would address something I never complained before. Will definitely chose another OB for my next baby.

My experience with Dr. Hershberger was awesome, the whole time he made me feel like i had a friend there for me for better or for worst. I trusted him completely, he was sincere and empathetic. Wendy wasn t helpful or nice and most information wasn t correct. I had to rely on family and friends for that matter.

He’s an amazing doctor! He is genuine caring and listens to you. He did great job on my surgery. He works with your family doctor. He does direct referrals doesn’t make you call.

The most empathetic, kind, and gentle womens specialist I have ever experienced. Thorough and took time to talk about my concerns. I was so nervous going to a man but due to Covid he was a doc who could get me in right away. I was so impressed and he will continue to be my doctor for women concerns. His staff are top notch. Very professional and personable. Made me feel very comfortable. I was also able to get right in and out. Great overall experience. I highly recommend Dr. Hershberger!!

He is very nice, knowledgable, and sincere!

Dr. Hershberger was very easy to talk to, he listened, and explained things very well. What I do have a problem with though is the timeliness of the office sending out the referral for surgery. I visited him at 9:30 last Wednesday morning, and I still had not got a call from the surgery center by Friday. I knew the office was closed Friday afternoon, so I called the surgery center just to see if anything had been scheduled, and they said they didn’t even receive a call. I would think by almost the whole day Wednesday, all day Thursday, and a half day Friday, it would have all been set up, but at least called in.

After recently moving to Wichita, I went to Dr Hershberger in May. He was very attentive and professional, and recommended some further treatment based on my symptoms. One appointment with Dr Hershberger made more progress than my last four years of obgyn appointments. I’m very grateful.

Dr. Hershberger is wonderful and caring. He has a great sense of humor and is supportive in whatever choice you want to make. He has delivered 2 of my babies so far and will be delivering the 3rd in July.

I was scared and very nervous for my visit but my doctor and his assistant did their best to keep me calm and not so worried.
