Incredible Neurosurgery Results
Dr. Barrow and his entire inpatient and outpatient surgical and post surgical recovery team at Emory University provided the absolutely excellent, outstanding care for my son's neurosurgery in December 2023 and gave my son the best possible outcome. I was extremely impressed by Dr. Barrow's knowledge, discernment, excellent skills and quality of care and by the diligence and high quality of care provided by the entire team.

This foolish Dr. Barrow clipped my optic nerve during my surgery...he decided not to talk to me nor my family after the surgery...I temporarily loss my sight & was found passed out..afterwards I called his office & was told “I don’t do follow up visits after surgeries...you need to go to your primary Doctor “...I did & the primary Doctor & Optometrist didn’t understand “WHY”... I was in bad condition so they insisted that Dr. Barrow see me... he did & it was only then that he told me about the optic nerve clip... I am since experiencing LOTS OF MIGRAINES & I have a necessity to ALWAYS wear hats & wigs to cover where Dr Barrow’s didn’t replace something-so my face is caving in NOTICEABLY! I was told I could not go after him for the damages because I was made to sign a form while slightly sedated!!!! I’m having so many complications now but I have NO TRUST in going to another specialist of this source ever again!!! I’m ruined & I see that Dr. Daniel Barrow of Emory still practice!!!

Dr. Barrow saved my life 16 years ago, when I was taken to the emergency room on evening at Emory for a bleeding brain aneurysm (Circle of Willis). His availability was immediate (next morning) and his surgery was obviously successful with no further repercussions. I've been living a happy, healthy life since then. Thank you, Dr. Dan Barrow!

Would not recommend Dr. barrow to anyone. We had a consult with him to do Chiari Malformation surgery and we traveled from out of town to him per a recommendation from a friend. Had to miss extra time from work due to being out of town. Had complications after surgery and read through my surgical notes to find out he didnt do the surgery he had a resident do it without informing us! I could have stayed home and had a resident do it. He flat out deceived us! How many others have been deceived?

Dr. Barrow is very talented and attentive. Dr.Barrow takes time to answer all your questions. After surgery that staff will not answer your questions or call back. I called and sent a message via the patient portal. Dr. Barrow's personal nurse is great but the general nurse that answers your call is very short and rude.

Doctor Barrow was a breath of fresh air after seeing several doctors in my hometown for over 6 months with no one able to help me with my severe back and neck pain. He looked at the MRIs I had, read the reports, and then asked me questions. He then told me he didn't think it was neurological. This was when most doctors would just say good bye but not him. He said he thought it was muscular and sent me to another doctor and voila! That doctor was able to relieve my pain that same day.

Recently went to Dr Barrow in Jan. 2016. Can't say enough wonderful things about him. Takes time to explain and listen to your questions. When you need the best you can put your trust in this doctor. Glad I drove the 5 hours to get his opinion. Thank god I didn't need surgery but if I had he would have been the one to do it, no question about that.
