Dr. Denis operated on my cervical spine. His expertise became evident once I entrusted him with my neck and the nerves therein. I awoke from surgery, and in days the pain was minimal and troubling symptoms before the surgery were mostly gone. Three months later, and I am functioning at nearly 100%. He is focused, friendly, extremely proficient, and gifted. I went into surgery with great trepidation, but having experienced the surgery, and the excellent care given to me by the entire Ochsner Hospital Kenner staff, I can assure anyone who reads this that you simply can’t find anyone who could top this surgeon! Excellent performance and compassion I was referred to many and for various reasons, they could not make anything happen. In severe pain, I pulled out all possibilities and Dr. Denis just happened to be in covering for the Doctor that is highly regarded in Louisiana. Dr. Denis came in and calmly explained everything. He was extremely well prepared and shocked me because I expected the much more senior doctor who had numerous accolades on the walk. Dr Denis was so direct and because he emphasized the crucial points along with extreme attention to detail, I agreed. Also, in addition to his incredible details and comforting personality, he rearranged the schedule due to my pain. The moment I woke after surgery, I was pain free After two weeks, I am still pain free. Doctors have assistants do all the prep and post operation calls normally. Dr Denis spoke to my wife and me before and after. Two weeks later, Dr Denis called to ensure my recovery was going well. Hope everyone has same!

Dr. Denis is an extremely capable, skilled, empathetic surgeon, who always has his patient’s best interest in mind. I became an emergent patient of Dr. Denis in early 2020 - right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a degenerative back disease and was referred to Dr. Denis for immediate care and surgery. My situation was so precarious I could have ended up paralyzed with the slightest misstep. He took me on as a patient and performed an extremely difficult three-tier back surgery. He was just amazing and I recovered from that surgery, which was performed two years ago. Recently, I developed a new back issue, which will require a new surgery directly above the previous surgical area. I am so pleased that the initial surgery has held up perfectly, and the new surgical area can be reached and resolved with minimal difficulty. That surgery has been scheduled for early May 2022.

Great experience. Had leg/back pain for around 9 month. Dr. Denis found nerve problem in my lower back. MicroSurgery done with a short recovery time. Leg pain gone 2 weeks after procedure. Highly recommended.

After seeing Dr. Denis for pain in my lower back.He ordered a Bone Density Test and called me on a weekend himself to give me the results.Very few doctors will call you themself's with test result's let alone on a weekend.I will be seeing him again for neck pain from a previous ACDF surgery.

Before I saw Dr Denis I was having pain and numbness in both legs. 10 days after surgery I was pretty much pain free in my legs. I definitely recommend Dr Denis if you have any kind of back or leg pain. I'm back to being my normal active self.

Dr. Denis is an excellent Neurosurgeon. He did a Lumbar Fusion of my L4 and L5 Vertebrae and R1. I was in severe pain before the surgery. He had a full schedule and cleared his schedule to do my surgery one week after I saw him at his office due to my excruciating pain. I have had total relief of the nerve pain I was having due to my nerves being pinched in the L4 and 5 and R1. I highly recommend Dr. Denis. He is also a very pleasant doctor.

I had a car accident in 2016 that set a horrible set of events in to place. After meeting other neurosurgeons and getting nowhere, and at the peak of my pain and living on multiple painkillers, I went to see Dr. Denis. He recognized the gravity of my situation immediately and scheduled me for surgery the next week. I have a long recovery ahead of me, but thanks to Dr. Denis I have my life back. Dr. Daniel Denis is a true professional. I went to him because my right hand was going numb. He explained to me I had spinal stenosis. He really made me feel comfortable and I decided on the surgery (Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion). He did not pressure me to get the surgery, but he explained to me that surgery was my best option. He did the surgery and the next day I was home feeling much better than when I went in. I saw Dr. Denis for a herniated lumbar disc. I appreciated the fact that he took the time to listen to my discussion of my problem and then to explain things patiently and in detail. I was most impressed by the fact that, unlike some surgeons, in no way did he aggressively push a surgical procedure. He prescribed some non-surgical treatments and when I improved on these, he said that surgery was not indicated at this time. Overall, he took a reasoned and balanced approach.

Dr. Denis looked at all of the reports (MRIs and Xrays) that I brought him very thoroughly. Every other doctor wanted to put bolts and screws into my back. Other doctors also recommended the epidurals. I did 3 of them, but they only worked temporarily. Dr. Denis saw what looked like a cyst on my spine. He scheduled surgery and removed the cyst. After surgery, I did not have any pain. I have not had any pain in my back since. I would highly recommend him. He is very thorough.

Dr. Denis is a wonderful Doctor. I previously saw a neurosurgeon and my pain went untreated. One visit to Dr. Denis and he located the problem in the first visit. I'm having major surgery with Dr. Denis and I have all the confidence in the world in him.
