I saw Dr Jost for over 2 years. He was always a bit abrupt, but for the last year, I have dreaded my appointments with him. He has been very abrupt, won't answer questions or listen to symptoms, and is very condescending. He seems to blame me because I am not getting control of my RA with the medicine he prescribed and have been having trouble with side effects. He got annoyed with me when I wanted to go to the health department for my blood tests because I couldn't afford the hospital to do it because it wasn't convenient for him. He refused to acknowledge my extreme pain and told me "you will just have to be in pain and hope the medication works" then told me it could be 6 months before I get relief from the new meds. He dismissed my fibromyalgia diagnosis entirely. He spent less than 3 minutes with me at my last appointment, wouldn't let me talk, and left the room while I was trying to ask a question. He is rude, condescending, and cares nothing for his patients.

I've been seeing Dr. Jost for 5 years. He has gotten my RA into remission and the few times it's come out, he's been quick to respond with the necessary drugs. When my insurance company refused to cover Enbrel, he wrote all the needed letters to get it approved. The next year when my insurance company insisted that I change to a different drug, that works in a different way, he again wrote letters arguing why I needed to stay on Enbrel. Insurance complied again. Bottom line - he cares!
