Dr. Daniel McGuire, MD

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and endoscopy on11/30 2023. although the endoscopy was performed ,the colonoscopy was not. the diuretic used was ineffective. at no time before the day of surgery did I meet with dr McGuire nor were alternatives to the diuresis discussed.I should have been so informed.After the endoscopy, I was given a report and instructions. at no time since the surgery ( to this day) were the findings or a future course of treatment discussed(despite potential pathology) .my call to his office was ignored.I would not recommend this dr or service. pt care appears to be secondary to pt processing

Doctor spent time reviewing medical records and ordered blood tests. He was thorough, caring and knowledgeable. BUT, no followup communication after that from the office staff. Have switched to another gastro and so far, so good.

Been my GI physician for years. Had routine endoscopy and colonoscopy and when I woke up in recovery, I was told by nurse that my heart and breathing stopped 3 times. No explanation or cause given to me! Now I’m left to be fearful for any further procedures and I’ve had GI issues for years.

I have been a patient of Dr McGuire’s for many years. His reputation is wonderful and my experience with him and his office has been wonderful. He has skill, experience, and a down to earth forthright manner. His office staff has been accessible and cooperative.

My issues with Dr McQuire is about his front office staff and his lack of follow-up Very difficult to have a doctor who is unaccessible

I am a patient of Dr. McGuire for 10 years and really needed help with a serious gastro problem. I was treated abominably by the office, the nurse practitioner and the doctor's assistant who never got back to me. This inability to receive any help went on for weeks until I had to find another doctor. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Dr McGuire was my moms doctor and she developed a swallowing problem while under his care and he wrote her off when she needed the most help and was losing a significant amount of weight.He only allowed me to speak to him by phone 1 time for advice and his staff often questioned me and my mom regarding wanting to speak to Dr McGuire and did not let us talk to him. He and his med assistant, Mattie, showed no empathy, compassion or concern for my mom who was under weight and struggling to eat! I would not recommend this dr to anyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Mcguire for many years. I found him to be warm ,kind , compassionate . very well focused as well as a brilliant Doctor. Through the years he has helped me and my wife during many difficult times. I trust him with my life. His staff is very helpful.

He’s terrific

I have been a patient of Dr. McGuire for about 8 years. He is a lovely, caring physician. However, when I tried to schedule an appointment because I was having continuing issues and needed to see him I was given an appointment 6 weeks away. I was offered an appointment with the PA, but explained that this is an on-going problem Dr. McGuire has been trying to help me with and I needed to see him. They would do nothing. I called each week to see if there was a cancellation, but was rudely told there was not. I finally gave up and went to another gastroenterologist. It saddened me as I felt Dr. McGuire is an excellent physician. I went so far as to drop off a note at the office addressed to him, but never received a reply. What good is a doctor who refuses to see one of his patients who really needs him. No, it was not an emergency. However, it was certainly a situation which could not wait 6 weeks for an appointment with my doctor for a problem.

Terrible experience. I made the apppt 2 weeks ago with Dr. Mcguire. the first thing office staff tell me is they do not have my referral. I said it was sent over 2 weeks ago. Then they found it. Next they tell me incorrect info is on the referral. Don't you think someone should of check it out prior to us coming for the appt. Luann one of the office girls now wants to reschedule for May or see the nurse pract. I said I could of done that 2 weeks ago if I wanted to not see the Dr. So we walked ou

Went to Dr. McGuire's office prior to colonoscopy. He was very attentive and kind. His staff, esp Gerri, was nasty, brusk, and bad-mannered. He needs to council her on why patients ask questions. She demanded I sign something without reading it. Totally irresponsible behavior.

Recently changed Gastro doctors (because of non-responsive actions of previous doctor) and chose Dr. McGuire. I had a couple of office visits before having my first colonoscopy (with him) this year. I found him very thorough in both office visits and on the day of the procedure. He spoke with me prior to the procedure and after. His office is very busy but they appear to have a well organized staff. Very pleased with my choice.

I was with Dr. McGuire for 6 years. I loved his personality and his knowledge. I felt so comfortable with him. He is excellent in his ability to perform procedures. This year,I went to schedule my colonoscopy and he wanted a CT scan of my abdomen & pelvic area..I didn't understand the reason. There was a misunderstanding, but dr. won't talk to me and he is discharging me from his practice. I am devastated that he wouldn't talk to me. I wrote a letter but it didn't help. I guess he doesn't care.

Dr. McGuire was knowledgable, kind and helpful. I will definitely go back and make him my gastroenterologist.

i went to dr. mcguire for quite a few years. everything was satisfactory until I had a problem. When that happened, I found him to be an unsatisfactory choice.

Dr McGuire is an excellent physician who is very thorough in his examinations and spends adequate time to explain your problems with possible solutions. Wonderful bedside manner and a physician to be respected.
