Dr. Daniel Michaels, DPM

Dr. Michaels barely let me talk, told me all shoes other than Hoka pretty much were 'garbage', fitted me for orthotics that I never received (due to my insurance being charged an exorbitant amount for other things, they would not cover them!). He was very full of himself. His staff were all excellent though.

Saw this “doctor” for an issue with the bones in my toes. My very first visit, he came into the room chewing gum with his mouth open and constantly chomping and his entire demeanor was belittling and rude. He didn’t give me the opportunity to explain my issue, just looked at my toes for a whole 5 seconds and told me to make a follow up appointment, didn’t advise me what we would be doing for the next visit and when I asked what the plan was he rolled his eyes and acted like it was a burden to have to explain something. Next visit go in and he cuts the ligaments in my toes, which didn’t even address the only issue I was having since it was with my bones. I had to go to another podiatrist for proper treatment and had 2 surgeries to break and realign the bones with screws, which resolved the problem I had. I recommend NOT acting this way when you have peoples feet in your face! Good way to get kicked. I would NEVER recommend “Dr” Michaels to anyone!!!

I moved to Hagerstown in the summer of 2022. For several months my left ankle was hurting from my tendonitis. I searched the internet for a podiatrist who had a specialty in more sever foot issues. I happed upon Dr. Michael’s website and was really impressed with his conservative an natural treatment plans. I made my appointment, got my x-rays, and was fitted with a night splint and Arizona AFO’s. December 12 I was rearended by a peter-belt propane truck which caused much more extensive damage. The pain in my left ankle was unyielding and my ballerina tendon had a 60% tear. After some time with little improvement Dr. Michaels suggested shockwave therapy. I agreed and scheduled 5 sessions, one each weak. After the third session my chiropractor noticed a big difference in the left ankle, ads did my myotherapies and physical therapist. Excellent experience! He comes onto the room with my info pulled up. I have had some issues with my feet and leg. Dr. Michaels referred me to some specialists for issues. If it wasn't for Dr. Michaels I would still be in pain. Between Dr. Michaels and the specialists my condition is cleared up! I really enjoy going to his office. His staff is super nice and very friendly!

5 years I went to podiatrist for non-diabetic neuropathy, both toes throbbing +a sheet was crushing pain, arthritis in both big toe joints, bunion + a recent heel spur. Neuropathy was never addressed prior. My pain was a 10+ so I recently went to Dr. Daniel Michaels: He addressed everything + is brilliant in his expertise as a podiatrist, explains everything, visit 1 gave me sleep splints for both feet, sleep with covers on no pain: ongoing treatment. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Daniel Michaels.

This Dr does not know what he's doing. My wife injured her foot. We went to this "Doctor" 2 days later. He told not to take the pain medication or anti inflammatories urgent care prescribed her. He did X-rays and said it should heal within 2 weeks and to come back then for a follow up. 2 weeks later the foot is still bruised and very swollen. He ordered an MRI. We cancelled all future appointments and got a new doctor. The results showed 3 fractured bones, 3 torn tendons. Waste of time.

Paid !000$ for laser treatment for nail fungi. went back for second treatment,same result, it did not work. Im out 1000$ and still have problem I went there for !!!!

Awful. Does not care about patient, only $. No bedside manner, talks in circles. Will not give test result over the phone because he won't get his copayment. Sells you things you don't need. Go in for result, told I need another test. i have had extreme pain iin my leg since the vein test was done. Office would not check with my insurance about leg stockings because I did not make a follow up. Insurance companies are losing money on this guy. Worried about my health since seeing him. 0 ??
