Obnoxious manner, full of himself, avoid him like the plague.

The team was courteous and timely! Dr. Matthews took xrays and immediately gave me a diagnosis with examples and language I could understand. Next I was fitted for the brace/orthotics I needed to improve my situation. I would highly recommend the team at The Podiatry Center!

His smile, greeting, eye contact, and willingness to fully explain my ankle injury was fantastic! He listened to my history and physical concerns to develop an action plan for success! Never thought I would go to bed without pain (or surgery) -- Dr. Matthews ordered custom orthotics and I can walk, even barefoot, without any discomfort. I recommend him highly!

My overall experience was excellent. The doctor listened to my concerns. He gave me all the tools I needed to relieve the pain in my foot.

First, the intake and paperwork were easy as tthe front office staff was professional, kind and very pleasent. Second, the prescreening was the best i have expereinced in 37 years of medical practice. Third - the doctor spoke clearly and was great

Dr. Michael Matthews and his staff were the model of what medical care should be: kind, efficient, transparent and, most important, highly professional throughout. All my questions were clearly answered, Dr. Matthews and his assistant Ashley took a great deal of care and time to address every issue and I left the practice with my pain mitigated and a plan in place to heal the trauma to my foot. 10/10!

Horrible experience here.. initially went due to close proximity, and ability to get an appointment. We thought its just a foot doctor, right ? After over 1 year of a dozen appointments, Dr Matthews couldn’t resolve the wound and in fact recommended that we completely remove the entire large toe nail at which point we stood up and said thanks, but no thanks! Why would you open the entire toe nail to invite infection? Lesson learned, here are the essential questions to consider when choosing a podiatrist. Do they have a team of specialists? Can they heal your wound? Are they using advanced technology? Do they welcome second opinions? Are they award winning? This practice is a NO on all counts. I don’t typically write reviews, but I received an email from this practice to Vote for Dr. Matthews as "Best Podiatrist:" for Best of Bethesda. You have been warned.

He was very personable, thorough, great personality but professional at the same time. He explained everything so that you understood what was going on. He only recommended what you needed and didn't try to sell a product just to sell it. He was very honest & told one exactly what one had to do to get better or improve your situation, I would highly recommend him & his staff- everyone was pleasant & professional.

He took the time to answer all my questions and reviewed the procedure several times. Surgery went flawless. He provided me with support post surgery, answering all of my follow up questions. My recovery journey has been great and I am so thankful for Dr. Matthews expertise and experience. He brings warmth, support, and humor to his patients. He makes the experience personable and you feel the support of him and the staff. I recommend Dr. Matthews and the practice to all patients!!

Dr. Matthews helped create a plan for me that has helped me recover in record time and the office staff were helpful in getting appointments scheduled quickly and taking care of me at my appointments.
