I walk like I did 5 years ago!
Dr. Sohn replaced my hip September 4th. It's November 1st and I'm walking better than I did 5 years ago. I've been back to work for 2 weeks now. I arrived for surgery fussing with a walker. Without the replacement I was never going to walk again. In my eyes I am younger now. Using the physical therapy at Dr Sohn's office was the right combination. The only thing I could have done better would have been to do it a few years earlier.

Knee revision
Dr. Sohn did an amazing job with my surgery. His staff is too-notch, too. He also was the surgeon when my mother broke her hip, and for my husband’s ulnar nerve transposition. Excellent care.

Rotator Cuff Repairs
Dr. Sohn repaired both of my rotator cuffs. The surgeries were about 3 years apart. Both surgeries went extremely well. Dr. Sohn was very direct and to the point. He explained the injury, what was involved, then executed the surgery flawlessly. After the surgery he was very informative on the procedure including very detailed pictures of what he did. I really appreciated the no nonsense approach. I would highly recommend him.

My experiences with Dr. Sohn,
Dr. Sohn is a very caring young man and a very talented Doctor. I ment Dr. Sohn years ago when I needed a Knee replacement and he explained the whole procedure and I decided to do it. Well after one knee then a hip then a total reverse shoulder then another hip, hand, and last the only thing I had left was the last knee. I,m so glad that I had a great surgeon to perform them all. I went into each surgery with the confidence that everything would end up well. If it weren,t for Dr. Sohn I don't know if I could have gone through them. His professional character led me through my times of need, and I will always be indebted to this great man. I tell everyone how lucky I was to have him on my team. He has saved me from many years of pain, THANK YOU AGAIN DR. SOHN you are a blessing and my HERO

Orthopedic Surgeon
Having severe hip pain for many years was very difficult at a young age of 57 . Dr Sohn was giving a presentation at one of our assisted living facilities . I wasn’t sure what was causing me so much pain , I couldn’t get up stairs without constant pain . As you entered to be seated Dr. Sohn was greeting people he stopped me and asked how long I had been walking like this , I replied it’s been awhile I went on to be seated . After the presentation I was leaving and Dr Sohn came up to me and asked me to please come into see him for an x-ray . After seeing my x-ray and reviewing the results with Dr. Sohn he reveled both hips had severe arthritis but the right hip was severely deteriorated . I was scheduled immediately for hip replacement . Surgery was of the posterior method . After surgery Dr. Sohn had given me a strict recovery agenda and was told to follow it to a T . At the hospital they had me up an walking . I had received a Stryker implant . I was astounded I had no pain .

Amazing Doctor
Total right hip replacement surgery on 01/23/2023. NO pain immediately after surgery. Prior to surgery I could barely get around. Along with hip and leg pain going away, almost all of my back pain has gone away also. Went from 3-4 prescribe pain pills per week to only needing 1 pill since week after surgery. Able to clean several barn stalls or clean our entire house in a few hours. Prior to surgery wasn't able to do either of those. Able to bend over and touch the ground in the mornings. Prior to surgery wasn't able to do this either. Walk much straighter. Improved balance. Thank you Dr. Sohn for all you have done for me!

Dr. Sohn has replaced both of my hips due to arthritis and pain. He explained the surgery beforehand, ensured we had done everything to avoid surgery first, and now I am able to walk, sit and sleep without pain. Recovery was smooth for both surgeries and I was back to work as soon as possible. I would recommend Dr. Sohn if you are looking for a surgeon who is experienced and caring.

Hip replacement success!
Dr. Sohn performed my hip replacement surgery and gave me my life back! I was in a lot of pain, but it wasn't until I could no longer do my beach walks that I decided to go ahead with the surgery. I had the surgery in August 2020 and was able to walk the beach again less than 2 months later. My husband was so impressed also....after the surgery Dr. Sohn went out to the waiting room and told my husband all had gone well & even showed pictures of the surgery that were on his phone. What a great Doctor :)

Dr. Sohn is by far the best orthopedic surgeon in the area. He has done ACL surgery on both my daughters as well as orthoscopic meniscus repair on one of my knees and complete knee replacement on the other. He has been great with us on all procedures and follow up. Very caring and helpful staff. Not everyone needs a 'family orthopedic surgeon', we do and we have the best!

I have seen Dr. Sohn over the years for shoulder and knee surgeries. My sister had a shoulder replacement and my brother in laws a knee replacement. We would not see anyone else. He tells you what your options are and is always honest with you. I trust him and his medical expertise is above and beyond.

Great experience! I decided to go ahead and meet with Dr. Sohn for possible knee surgery. He said that my left knee was one of the worst he'd seen, and scheduled total replacement in May 2021. All went well with that. Upon a follow-up appointment, he suggested it was time to do the other knee! So the 2nd surgery was in August 2021. Here it is two weeks after that one, and I think that the progress on this one is going very well! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic surgery.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sohn in the past. I called the office to make an appointment, was told I needed a referral. The same day, I was able to get a referral sent. I was then directed to get an X-ray, which I immediately did. The office called me the next day, however did not leave a voicemail. For the next seven days, I had called and left voicemails requesting a call back. Today is a week since my X-ray, and I once again called the office. The receptionist answered, and just as I was beginning to speak, she interrupted me saying she had another call, and hung up. I called back again, and was transferred to Tina, the scheduler. She was extremely rude and condescending. I was asking why I hadn’t received a call back, she said the doctor needed to review if he actually wanted to see me. I asked why I got an X-ray, and she didn’t know. I’ve worked for the Lakeland Healthcare system for eight years, and I’ve never been treated this poorly and been given a runaround. Unfortunate.
