Dr. David Barrere, MD

I had been pushed around to 5 different OBs. I knew something was wrong with my body but could not get anyone to listen. I came to him by suggestion of a patient of mine. He took the time to listen. Was thorough in his assessment. I am a NP, but this is not my field. He did not make me feel dumb. He just answered my questions. Post hysterectomy I healed quickly and with no complications. I have my life back at 37 years old. I could truly never thank this man enough for what he does and how he does it. His staff is equally as impressive with communication and friendliness. Thank you Dr!

Dr. Barrere is WITHOUT a doubt the best gynecologist in the tristate. He's kind, knowledgeable, & cares about his patients. His staff is friendly, office clean. He's been my OB for 19 yrs. Would recommend him to anyone

I would not recommend Dr. Barrere to my worst enemy. I came to him after a visit to the ER where they told me that I had a large complex cyst that needed to be removed. I told him the pain I had been having and asked for him to surgically remove it. He refused and said that the ER doctor was not a gynecologist and put me on birth control. He also did a ultrasound where he said that my cyst was gone...as you keep reading you will see why that is impossible! Needless to say I ended up in the ER again needing emergency surgery as I actually had TWO complex cysts (complex cysts do not shrink or go away on their own) on both of my ovaries and torsion where they had twisted around each other. I ended up losing one of my ovaries and almost lost the other. He should learn to listen to women, they know when there is something wrong with their body!!!!!! Also I would recommend not discounting an ER doctor who has already diagnosed the cyst as being complex and needing to be removed!

Many other GYN’s refused to operate on me because they saw me as high risk - numerous previous surgeries. My weight doesn’t make it any easier either. But I had pain from a persistent cyst from an ovarian remnant. He found it, removed a lot of scar tissue and as a result, he’s given me back my life!

I just recently transferred to Dr. Barrere because he was recommended to me by a friend. Dr. Barrere is very willing to answer any questions I may have, and is quick to try to come up with different options for almost anything. Compared to my last doctor, he is much more focused on what I want rather than what would make him the most money. I recommend him to my whole family now!

Dr. Barrere is a great doctor, I highly recommend him! He has taken great care of me over the years no matter what the problem may be, and several of my friends and family members are in his care as well. There are nothing but glowing reviews for him with all of us!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr Barrere is the only doctor who actually fixed my problems. I trust that he had only my health and my worries as his priority. He is compassionate, listens, and never judges or pushes me to follow a plan I'm not comfortable with. As I've gotten older and had issues with urinary leakage and menopausal symptoms, he FIXED THINGS-without surgery! His new technology and expert skills have been life changing for me & my relationship. Thank you Dr Barrere! - very grateful patient.

I couldn't disagree more with the people who talk about Dr.B being money hungry, etc. It's unfair to expect a doctor not to be paid for what he does. Isn't that why most people work? As for Dr. B professionally, I have nothing but the highest regard for what he does. He listens and gives options, just like you'd want. He's always listened to my input when making healthcare decisions. He's delivered babies to me and my family members - we wouldn't consider anyone else!

I cannot understand getting on the Internet and bashing somebody for wanting to be paid for the services they provided. I know I don’t work for free. If the physician did something unethical I could see pointing that out but wanting paid for the work that was put in is not unreasonable. Dr. Barrere has been my doctor for 20 years and is now my daughter’s physician. I wouldn’t trust anybody else. Other doctors have made statements about him being the best surgeon around.

Dr. Barrere has been the doctor to numerous females in my family, BUT we either have or are in the process of switching which is what brings me to this review. Dr. Barerre is money hungry only cares about making money off of an innocent patient, he holds records hostage until we, as a patient, pay him to transfer them to a new physician. Awful awful Dr. So glad I left his "care" when I did!! MONEY HUNGRY. Which is upsetting because I did like him but I wouldn't even recommend him to my worst enemy. Stay far away before he takes advantage of your medical "issues" just to get paid. I don't even want to rate him 1 star.

Dr. B is an amazing doctor. Gen takes take to sit down and explain things to you and eat results prior to any exam and he answers any questions you may have. He is very professional and an all around great doctor.

I have seen Dr. Barrere for a few years and he is phenomenal. He explains everything well. His staff is very courteous and helpful. They are always pleasant.

I've been a patient of Dr B's for years. He's delivered both of my babies (via c section) and the level of professionalism and care was/and always has been phenomenal! He kept my mind at ease and answered any questions/concerns I had. His wonderful staff is always the sweetest And prompt too! He's blunt-to the point-no BS....but that's what I love most about him. I'm a very black and white kind of person-that grey area is just unsettling for me. And he is anything but that!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Dr. Barrere is not only a wonderful person but he is a great doctor. Myself having a stillborn baby 6+ years ago and pregnant again i was nervous on finding a doctor who would take care of not only me but the baby. his #1 goal is to deliver a healthy baby and now i have 2 healthy beautiful babies. He closely monitored the babies and myself, Before during and after pregnancy.

I've been with Dr. Barrere for 23 years, and have put my life and my children's lives, literally in his and his staffs hands. Dr. Barrere and his staff is compassionate, honest, and care about the patients total well being. I have referred several friends and family to him, and they now refer him. His staff has been with him as long as I have, and that says a lot. Dr. B is, "The Best of the Best," and runs his office accordingly. You couldn't find and/or choose a better MD than Dr. B!!!!

Dr Barrere is an amazing Dr His compassion and bedside manners are truly remarkable in a society where they seem to no longer exists. You are never made to feel rushed at your appointment and he listens to all of your concerns. The staff is also amazing with no turnover.My daughter now sees him as well and we will never go to another practice.

I would defiantly recommend him to family and friends, he has delivered two of my siblings and I trust him 100% I can not wait to have my first child for him to deliver him/her. He is an excellent doctor and always answers any/all my questions and makes the best medical decisions for me.

Dr. B is an excellent physician! He is very caring and thorough! I would highly recommend him to anyone. I find it upsetting to read comments on here where people say other physicians bad mouthed another physician....Or acknowledge the fact the doctor they are bad mouthing brought a healthy baby into the world...Or not except the fact that common causes of hernias are OBESITY, smoking, pregnancy and family history. Know the facts before posting negative comments!

If you are in need of an Ob/Gyn, call Dr. Barrere's office. Dr. B has been my physician for over 15 years. He has delivered all 3 of my kids. Dr. Barrere is very compassionate and takes his time with you. Dr. Barrere's staff is amazing. When leaving a message, you will receive a call back promptly. The entire staff is very friendly. And has been with him ever since I started going there. I think an office with no turn over in staff is very important. I recommend this office!
