Knee capsule repair: gastrocnemius flap
My surgery was to fix a burst knee capsule, and my knee replacement surgeon, Dr. Schneider, called Dr. Brogan in to consult when it became apparent it would not heal on its own. Dr. Brogan was very kind and patient in explaining what he would have to do to fix the knee capsule. The outcome wasn't going to be pretty, but would be functional. He was very clear about that, which I appreciated...it wasn't an easy fix, and being informed helped me to come to a decision about surgery (it was causing enough problems to make me need to get it fixed) and also to prepare myself for what it would look like immediately following and during the healing process. He and his wonderful assistant, Theresa, have fielded my countless questions and helped me as I heal. I will be going for my second check in a few days. and I am not fully healed, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Brogan for this type of repair.

Hand Issues- See Someone Else
I read my after visit summary and the physician stated that I had injections when I didn't. He billed my UHC insurance and charged them for injections that I never had. I mostly spent time with his intern assistant. I don't feel he was very thorough in examining me and trying to find out my issue and just blew me off to Physical Therapy Dept. I spent more time with his intern assistant than I did with him. X-rays were done but I didn't get to see them. Blowing off my diagnosis as arthritis. I didn't have enough time to tell him all the things going on with my hands like my fingers locking up, not able to close my hands in a total fist, etc. The visit was not what I expected and not a good experience.
