I highly recommend Dr Buchalter for joint replacement surgery . He is highly qualified as well as a genuinely nice person . I had a total hip replacement and was walking with crutches and home the same day . From the minute I stood up I had zero pain . In less than a week I no longer needed the crutches . I am very grateful for Dr Buchalter and his entire team ! Thank You !

This guy might be a great surgeon doctor, but the experience I had there accompanying my mother was terrible. She asked me to go with her to confirm some doubts about other pains in her leg prior to a scheduled surgery 8 days from today. The doctor couldn't have been more rude. He seemed upset that we were even there, was dismissive and hurried my mom to ask Direct questions, and even had her get on the exam table and stressed her hip to purpously hurt her to prove a point that she needed surgery. My mom knew that she needed surgery, she was just there to find out what other issues could be causing her pain in a different ligament or tendon. I do not recommend this doctor at all. There are other more compassionate doctors out there that would take 5 minutes to listen and explain.

I had my knee replacement surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2020. It never seemed right but the surgeon who had a great reputation felt everything was going to be fine. I saw Dr Buchalter who was confident he knew what was going on. He took some fluid from my knee and diagnosed me with an infection. He performed surgery and redid my knee replacement and now I am fine. Who needs Mass General when you have Dr Buchalter in Delray Beach

We hear he's a great surgeon and my father seems to have had a successful surgery following a fall. I'm grateful for that, however, Dr. Buchalter and his team has continuously failed to communicate with my mother. The Delray Medical Center system is also set up with multiple communication barriers and passing of the buck. The nursing care is excellent but their jobs are unnecessarily complicated by the dysfunctional system. There are secret ways around the convoluted system that staff may share if you promise not to tell anyone they informed you. It's very odd and creates unnecessary stress, lack of trust, and work during an already stressful time. Don't let the system gaslight you - advocate for yourself and your loved one. We do think the nursing care is very good at Delray, but the lack of communication makes it very hard to establish trust and feel informed.

I under went a total right hip replacement, when I first went to see Dr. Buchalter, I was literally dragging my right leg! After he examined me, I was informed I was bone on bone, and needed a total hip replacement!!! I had the surgery approximately 4 weeks ago, and am now walking on my own with no pain!!! I would highly recommend Dr. Buchalter and his staff to my friends and family!!! They are truly great people and very professional!! I can not thank Dr. Buchalter and his staff enough!!! Kevin

When it came time to replace my knee this June, choosing a doctor was an easy decision for me. Twelve years ago doctor David Buchalter replaced my right knee and it has been strong and trouble-free ever since. Having performed total knee replacement countless times, it is apparent to me that Dr. Buchalter’s understanding of this surgery is unrivaled. Compared to my previous surgery recovery was faster than before and was less painful. Post op care was also better than I previously experienced. I would recommend him for knee surgery procedure.

Dr. Buchalter of South Palm Orthopedics is in my opinion the BEST Orthopedic Doctor in South Florida. I’ve had some other orthopedic issues, and it all worked out perfect. Recently I had a total knee replacement, and Dr.Buchalter fixed me up in top notch fashion. I’m still on the mend, but I know for sure that I’ll be good as new when this is all completed. He’s competent, answers all your questions without hesitation, and looks out for your best interests. His office staff are friendly, and courteous. If you have any orthopedic issues, he the Doctor that can solve them.

Dr. Buchalter, THE BEST, his bedside manner makes you feel very comfortable and confident with his expertise. The surgery was unimaginable, I never saw the operating room. Woke up in recovery, who can ask for anything more. He has golden hands.

Having total hip replacement with Dr. Buckhalter was one of the easiest things I’ve ever gone through I was home the next day on the walker I was driving within three weeks and fully recuperated after 2 1/2 months he’s an excellent surgeon follows up on everything and I would recommend him to anyone

Dr. Buchalter performed the surgeries for my left hip (January) and right hip (April) of 2022. Both hips were bone on bone and my mobility was really impacted. I had tried different therapies for years and only got worse. Dr Buchalter was honest about the options and as scary as surgery sounded he was very reassuring and I felt I was in good hands. 6 months after the left hip and 3 months after the right, I am walking without discomfort, logging in some 3.5 miles a day. Pain is gone, I am aligned and can walk naturally. Still not at 100%, but tracking well in that direction. I am happy I had the surgery, and even more that Dr. Buchalter and team performed it. Could not have been in better hands!!!

I fainted and damaged my knee in such a way that I had excruciating pain and literally could not walk. I was taken by ambulance to a hospital which Dr. Buchhalter was not affiliated with. After being discharged and getting some cortisone shots and a gel shot by the other admitting doctor, (which did not help me), my GP highly suggested that I make an appointment with Dr. David Buchalter. He happens to be her orthopedic doctor. When I first saw Dr. Buchalter, he gave me a knee brace, and a prescription for PT, and advised me to take several milligrams of Advil/Alleve per day for a few weeks. I was improving a little, but not quick enough for my liking. Dr. Buchalter was quite conservative for a while, but when he saw and was told that I was not a happy camper, he decided to do arthroscopic surgery on my knee. After a few weeks of recovering, I am very happy to report that I am so pleased with my progress so now I can do whatever I want, whenever I want and with whomever I want.

I was experiencing extreme knee pain when a friend recommended I make an appointment with Dr Buckhalter. Upon my first visit I found the doctor to be personable and straightforward aBout my options after reviewing my X-rays. It was ultimately decided to go forward with a full Knesset replacement of my right knee. The doctor is an amazing and skilled surgeon and I was back on my feet and walking in about two weeks physical therapy pushes your progress along unfortunately my left knee gave out shortly after my first surgery and I found myself back in the doctors office scheduling surgery for my left knee after three months. This latest surgery is about five weeks ago and I am doing well. I am totally devoted and committed to my wonderful doctor. I praise him and bless him every day for giving me back a happy and full life. I would also like to mention that the doctor’s staff offers support and information in answering any questions I had

Dr. Buchalter did a total hip replacement following a fractured femur. My recovery was fast and pain minimal. I highly recommend Dr. Buchalter. He is an excellent surgeon, explains treatment and prognosis in detail and is courteous. His office is run efficiently and the staff is friendly and a pleasure to work with. Appointment wait time is usually within 15 minutes.

As a first time patient with a painful knee problem, I was impressed by the quick action the office team took in getting me an appointment. All the support team were friendly & courteous. Dr. " B " explained my diagnosis & treatment clearly. I will follow the advice and hopefully stay pain free.

Dr Buchalter and staff are amazing! As a single mom I had so many worries and now I look back and can honestly say I worried over nothing. From pre-op, surgery, and post-op, I was in the best hands ever. Doc truly is one of the best if not the best in what he does. I had no surprises. Everything went as I was told it would. I had a total knee replacement and scar is minimal which is a blessing compared to some I’ve seen. I have never had a call not returned from his staff. The follow thru care has been amazing. I am 12 weeks post op and have been riding my bike for weeks now! I wouldn’t hesitate a minute to have Dr Buchalter again as my surgeon - I know I will be in the best hands!

Unlike another surgeon who was ready to do a hip replacement on me after 5 minutes of evaluating me, Dr. BUchalter took his time and evaluated the x-ray and then ordered an MRI. He suggested I have a cortisone injection under x-ray (which I did with him) and that surgery for my case was not warranted at this time. It is nice to know there are surgeons who are not ready to cut you open and who are ready to take their time and do what is best for their patients.
