Spine decompression
I needed a lamenectomy and Dr Cohen got me in on short notice. He reviewed my MRI and had me in surgery in 6 days. He and his PA Kristen were amazing! I can walk straight again without pain. I actually got to meet with both of them in my follow up. Very understanding and listened to my questions. Would highly recommend.

He needs to improve that he really cares for the patient. Explain to the patient why he can help out with the nerve situation in the lower back. Telling the patient with your on blood thinners we can't operate. He does not handle impatiens care very well.

I saw one of his partners 2 wks ago when I was in the hospital for the 3rd time in a month. He said I needed surgery & he’d talk to Dr Cohen about me. Today Dr Cohen said he wouldn’t do surgery on me because I’m an infection risk & “I’m just too big”. I’m a size 16-not quite the fat lady at the circus yet. He said to try injections-I said I have & they didn’t work. When I said the other Dr said I needed surgery, he said I was free to go to him if I wanted because “Drs have different opinions”. In a nutshell, he was a jerk! I am miserable & was hoping he was going to help me, but.... I hope he reads this....I’d love to tell him what I think of him.

I've been experiencing severe lower back pain and numbness in my foot and leg. I saw Dr. Cohen this morning, he said the degenerative disc disease is normal wear and tear go to a pain clinic. He never addressed the numbness or why any of this could have happened overnight. So distraught and disappointed.

Rude and condescending. Did not review my MRI with me and told me the report was inaccurate, minimized my symptoms and pain and told me I needed a neurologist not a neurosurgeon. Walked out of the room and I assumed the appointment was over so I went to leave and he told me to stay there for a script for PT no follow up with him necessary... no explanation no follow up no compassion
