This Dr. office is negligent and non responsive. I have not encountered such level of negligence before. Once the Dr. diagnosed my condition, the follow up was supposed to be carried by his administrative assistants. Yet, despite numerous calls on my part and repeated reminders and requests to follow up on the Dr's recommendations, this assistants did nothing, I am stuck with pain and none of them ever contacted my insurance to get an approval for the treatment Dr Smink had recommended. Weeks past, but there is still no treatment for me since the assistant does not do anything to follow up. If you need a treatment which requires an approval of your insurance, save your health and pain and go elsewhere (which is what I now have to do).

Dr. Smink conducted surgery for a torn meniscus. It was smooth, and he was very accommodating and forthcoming.

I was Dr. Smink's patient at his Forest Glen, Silver Spring MD office for orthopedic problems, from 2011 to 2013. While at his care or patient of his, he proven to be very knowledge, caring, empathy, professionalism and kind-hearted, thus recommend him highly.
