Dr. Davor Sklizovic, MD

He diagnosed me with a brain leak in March - said it needed surgery asap in Boston. He spent several weeks trying to get a brain fluid sample with no success - then sent me for a cat scan with inconclusive results. I called his office many times asking for an appt with a Boston surgeon - they kept telling me they couldn’t reach him. I had to go in personally to Dr Sklisovic office and demand he set up an appt. Finally the office manager took over and got me an appt with Dr Corrales in Boston. It took another 10 days for them to send my tecords. Meanwhile 4 months have gone by - I just had the surgery and brain tissue as well as fluid was exiting out of nine different holes on the roof of my ear. Dr Corrales said this should have been addressed immediately and it was a miracle I had not contracted meningitis. If Dr Sklisovic did not have the technology to address the problem immediately he should have personally contacted Boston before this reached a life threatening state.

A doctor who is straightforward, tells it like it is may offend some patients but his caring and capability are evident. He removed polyps from my nose and did a perfect job. Follow up visits have gone well. I have only good things to say about the man. He is an asset to Northern Light.

Took months to get an appt and then he canceled 3 times after that - Very serious considering I had a brain leak. Quite abrupt and never took time to explain my condition thoroughly. Difficult to reach office and get responses in a timely manner.

This Dr. cared for both my mother and later in time my husband. In both cases the doctor was attentive to the patients' symptoms and either conducted an inhouse testing or ordered a particular testing or a biopsy. Both mother and husband received the best of care. The doctor is caring, considerate, compassionate and conducts himself in an exemplary manner.

I've never left a doctors appointment feeling more confused and misunderstood. I'm not even sure what happened in there. I felt like he didn't make an attempt to fully understand what was happening for me. I'm going to seek a second opinion elsewhere.

This doctor tells it like it is and I appreciate that. He is pleasant and gets right to the point and offers the patient what options are available. I found him to be through and he did a fine job of removing my cancer on the first attempt. I would use him again if I needed to and recommend him to others.

Dr. Sklizovik is a very knowledgeable physician. He is very direct and professional, which I like. Some appear to have confused his directness with being rude. To the contrary, I want to clearly understand my medical issue; I'm not interested in having it understated. I would not hesitate to see him again.

I have seen Dr. Sklizovic three times. He successfully treated my condition, discussed other ENT type concerns with me and we also had positive conversations about non-medical things in which we shared an interest. He is a great patient's doctor.

Arrogant and condescending. Did not answer my questions - had no patience for them. Very abrupt, even rude. I did not follow through on his recommendations (orders) for further care which included having a savable tooth pulled ("immediately - it is now an emergency!")and having a CT scan which according to him might be a waste of time and money because of the tooth. I followed up with my PCP and am taking a less drastic approach to my care.

Arrogant, condescending. The worst bedside manner I've seen in decades. I did not even go back for the follow-up because I refuse to support this practice with my dollars. That said, his staff are at the other end of the spectrum. They are incredibly professional and helpful. Must be saints to stay there.
