Dr Ottenheimer is now retired, which was never communicated to me, A PATIENT of two years, until I called to refill a prescription. It all started earlier this yeah when Dr Ottenheimer merged her practice with Maiden Lane Medical. After the merge, Maiden Lane told me they didn't even have my name in its system, let alone the 2 prescriptions I had under Ottenheimer and the host of physical and mental health issues I had worked on and discussed with Ottenheimer's staff. No record of me whatsoever. I had to call Maiden Lane every single month to get my prescriptions refilled, with Maiden Lane telling me every single time that they had no record of my prescriptions and giving me a hard time. Fast forward to two days ago, when I call yet again to get my prescriptions refilled, and I am informed that Ottenheimer "is retired." I am told my prescriptions can't be refilled and I need to come in for an appt, BEFORE MY ANNUAL. Obviously, I am switching practices.

As a physician Dr. Ottenheimer is alright, but the problem with her practice really lay with her staff. For this reason, I would strongly advise patients to look elsewhere for their healthcare. I have had horrific experiences just trying to book an appointment. If you are considering seeing this doctor, do yourself a favor and read all the online reviews posted about patient experiences with her and her staff prior to booking. The reviews are alarming.

The office staff and nurse practitioner are awful. Avoid this practice at all costs.

Went to her about a polyp removal after being a patient for years and only ever dealing with nurses. She was HORRIBLE to me. At no point did I feel heard, supported, communicated to or informed. And I'm not the first person to report this. Honestly this woman should have her medical license taken away. She is not fit to be out in society.

The medical staff here is great. Super professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The front desk and scheduling staff on the other hand are ATROCIOUS. They are consistently rude, talk over you and speak too fast to be intelligible over the phone or in voicemail messages. I'm considering changing providers yet again because of the sheer frustration I experience every time I have to interact with their support staff.
