Efficient and brisk
She has been my PCP for almost 10 years. We always deal with everything on my list and she follows up with all lab and procedure results, always answers questions I send through patient portal or by phone. If you want a warm and chatty provider, look elsewhere. She's there to do her job, and pays me the compliment of assuming that's what I want.

Very Competent Doc
Dr Spence is efficient but very thorough. Listens and addresses all concerns. Double checks information on chart and makes good use of diagnostic tools available. Very good followup with any test results or questions.

I am a male, 50+ years old. Despite what I've read on previous reviews, I find Dr. Spence to be quite an excellent Doctor! She has been my primary for several years, during which I've had several annual and some impromptu visits. Each time she is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and consistently helpful and accurate. She may not have an overly warm bedside manner for some, but for me, I find her manner to be just what a doctor ordered. If you need warm and fuzzy, maybe look elsewhere, but if you're looking for professional care, she's your doctor. P.S. Her staff are also all of the above, so the experience has always been first-rate.

Just had to speak to Dr. Spence as she is the on-call doctor for my regular doc and I think I’m having an early term miscarriage. She called me back and was laughing at a joke on the other end while she waited for me to pick up (it took me two “hello?s” for her to respond to me), she didn’t bother to leave the room where other people were chatting while we spoke, and she told me curtly, “I don’t know what to tell you. Go to the emergency room.” Sorry to interrupt your Friday night, Spence.

I love,My Dr who is in Dr Spences practice but on his,day off I have a,returning sinus infection causing my asthma to flair up. I call at 11 am no return call I call at 2 at 330 get put on hold call back the appt desk who finds the nurse ... who tell me she, will check with Dr Spence but since I am not her patient the, likelihood of her helping or writing me a script is pretty low. Whatever happened to Dr's caring about the patients in practice. I will probably switch obv this Dr should retire.

Dr. Spence has been my primary caregiver since I moved to Western Ma. two years ago. I have found her to be kind, professional and very adept at providing exemplary medical care. She has monitored my several medical issues successfully. These included asthma, depression, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis and other age related issues. She is a compassionate and very good doctor. Highly recommend.

Never reviewed a Dr. but compelled to do so now; I've wanted to change drs for yrs & finally done so- not sure why I waited. She's fine, available & efficient but after seeing her for 8 yrs, if I saw her at a store I'd keep walking; there is a lack of connection in her style, I've felt like a case number. (She probably wouldn't even recognize me). I kept thinking -if my situation was serious would I have confidence in her? connection? feel comforted by her? All are "No", sadly - hence the change

Dr Spence was ok. But she called in wrong prescription. Then went to a specialist & found out what Dr. Spence SHOULD have asked & done to treat me. Office staff-horrible. Don't return phone calls. Took 2 weeks & constant calling to get someone to call me back. Medical Assistant is incompetent. Called me with blood results & couldn't answer simple questions. Called in prescription refill & took 5 days (and me calling) for them to call it in. If you want headaches, go here, if not, avoid.
