Dr. Douglas McKee, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr.mckee for quite some time now, and I will say, if you need a general practitioner or primary care physician , Dr.mckee is more than fine. He’s always been helpful to me both with dealing with medical issues himself or with referring me to specialists. Perhaps, the best thing I could say about Dr.mckee is that he actually paid attention to what I thought about my care.

I went to Dr. McKee for about a year. He never examined me in that time except for heart and lung sounds and pulse. When I asked for help with RLS and told him how much my legs hurt and throbbed, he did not examine them. When I cried during two office visits because untreated RLS had caused 72 hours with no sleep, Dr. McKee stormed out of the exam room and did not return. I told him I had lower abdominal ache. He did not examine me. Instead he referred me to an obgyn physician. When I arrived for my appointment, this physician said he could not examine me as McKee had sent no record. I am now a patient at St Luke’s Internal Medicine Clinic, being treated for significant pulmonary and circulatory problems.

I made an appt with Dr McKee after reading reviews for dozens of doctors, and I definitely made the right choice. It was just a new patient appt but I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable at any point and I felt like he genuinely listened to me. Also- the rest of the office staff and medical staff were really great as well.

He is always there and ready to answer my questions.

Yes I would recommend Dr. McKee to family and friends because he cares about your health, takes time to listen to your concerns, etc.

Great bed side manors. Very complete with exams. Makes you feel that he realy cares about you and your health. If he feels you need a Specialist he will tell you so. At that point he will offer lists of that field of medicine for you to choose from. I trust him with my life. Nothing more needs to be said.

He is thorough, unhurried, and knowledgeable. He listens to insert, not just respond.

This is not about my last visit. It is about all of my visits with Dr. McKee, who has been my primary care physician for over 15 years. He's compassionate, caring, and above all, he listens to you. I'm 66 years old and this is the be doctor I have ever been associated with.

I have been going to Dr. McKee for many years. He has been very good in helping me remain health. His nurse practioner is also very good the times that I have seen her. Both are very good in explaining a problem and when necessary develop a plan to work on whatever the problem was
