Dr. Edgard Chavez, MD

This doctor is the best I found in Sebastian after looking for primary care. He takes his time, he listens to me and is very knowledgeable on diagnosis and treatment.

Really not a great office. Beyond that, he is quite informal, and extremely direct. Doesn't head anything you say, and really feels like he wants to get on with his day. A bit of a grump.

Front Office: no communication skills, they actually get angry when you try to talk with them. Do not pass on messages for prescription refills. They would rate a zero against any other doctors office I have ever experienced in any country! Doctors: They work on some weird principle that they are OK with not refilling prescriptions they write in a timely manner, this creates harm and stress for the patient. Are doctors not taking an oath of do no harm ? There is no coverage for patients when the doctors (married) go on vacation, get sick or just decide they are going to take a few days off. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business.

Dr Chavez is very kind and listens !! to comments, complaints, health issues. I trust him completely; he does not prescribe too many drugs. He suggests practical physical activities and attitudes. I've been seeing him at least 5 years. I'm 80 years old.

Was not a good fit. Nice guy but seems to be more interested in insect bites and upset stomachs than being my primary care physician. A few language problems but not too bad. After waiting for 45 minutes i told the receptionist too call me for a reschedule. He never did so I went elsewhere. Also, he never did get my chart from my former Doc in CT so really had no idea what I was all about.

As A Dr. and person Dr. Chavez is excellent. He does not believe in over prescribing meds and is easy to talk to. Unfortunately the staff is not reliable, not professional, do not properly call in prescriptions and have very poor communication skills. They also do not call in reminders for appointments on a regular basis. Unfortunately good staff is always a challenge for doctors.

Dr Chavez takes the time to ask and answer questions, he takes great care to get and keep you healthy, he cares for his patients and is considerate and compassionate. Any issue I have had he figures out the best course of action. It seems like he always knows exactly what to do to heal me. So glad I found him, I have no intention of every going anywhere else. Would highly recommend him, and I do.
