Dr. Edward Firouztale, MD

I went to see Dr Firouztale for chronic reoccurring migraines. Dr Firouztale was extremely thorough & ordered an abundance of tests, which included, but not limited to, a complete cardiology workup. Through his thorough testing it was determined that I had a heart condition causing my headaches. I am 2 weeks post cardiac surgery & no more headaches! I credit Dr Firouztale for taking his time listening to my health complaints & going above and beyond to alleviate my pain & potentially saving my life. I cannot recommend Dr. Firouztale enough!

I thought the doctor listened to me, but ultimately, realized he did not. He did a peer to peer after I was denied a test I needed. He never asked or had the results of tests that I had already, that would have assured the approval, and apparently did not even hear me at our evaluation meet. His coordinator was condescending and of no help. I was simply told it was denied, and there was nothing I could do. I had to appeal the decision myself, and included the information that he did not have or care to have. It was approved within two days. What further infuriates me, is that the PET scan that I got approved for, no thanks to him, he got results for. It's been over a week, and no call from his office to conduct a follow up regarding my abnormal results. Borders on malpractice if you ask me. Even my primary called to discuss the results. I got a referral for a new neurologist while I was there.

THIS GUY DOES NOT LIKED TO BE ASKED QUESTIONS NOR DOES HE LIKE TO ANSWER THEM ...HE ORDERED MULTIPLE EXPENSIVE TESTS AND THEN REFUSED TO EXPLAIN OR DISCUSS THE RESULTS ...HE SAID THAT I ASK TOO MANY QUESTIONS AND THAT I SHOULD SEE A PSYCHIATRIST ...I CAME HERE TO SEEK PAIN RELIEF AND WENT AWAY WITH MORE PAIN THAN I CAME WITH ...SOUTH SHORE NEUROLOGICAL IS A FACTORY $$$ OPERATION ...STAY AWAY.

Dr Firouztale had the insight, sensitivity and training to guide me to the help I needed at a difficult time
