Dr. Tanner and his team were absolutely outstanding. He was open, honest and listened to all of my concerns. He made me feel extraordinarily safe and I was never afraid. He and his team performed a full hysterotomy removing my uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and ovaries plus he took out lymph nodes. I had the robotic minimal evasive surgery. It was unbelievable, I had no pain afterwards and the care I received was not only outstanding but filled with kindness and concern. I cannot say enough about Dr. Tanner, his team and Northwestern Hospital.

I recently had a hysterectomy (ovaries in) and Dr Tanner performed the surgery. I had no pain! None. Zero. I am so grateful to have had Dr Tanner as my surgeon. He listened to all of my questions pre and post op and I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone.

I am hoping my cancer does not return, and appreciate the surgery skills of Dr Tanner and team in removing all tissues (that I didn't need) and the pathology in searching for transformed cells.

Dr. Tanner was my Oncologist at JH. He and his staff provided nothing but courteous and compassionate care. I appreciated that he took the time to explain procedures and answer all my questions. He was very thorough in both pre and post-op follow-up appointments. He and his staff were top notch at both the downtown and at Green Springs Station. I would recommend them to anyone needing medical care in this field.

Dr. Tanner performed a complete hysterectomy on me that proved to be unnecessary. My mass was a infection caused by bowels as determined later by other doctors. I feel Dr. Tanner lacked experience and knowledge. I also feel it was more a business decision than one in the best interest of the patient.

I had been disappointed in his care previously. This time, I was kept waiting for 2 hours with no explanation. Not only did he not apologize, he told me his practice had grown so much that if I wanted to be seen faster, I should see an NP not him.As an ovarian cancer patient, this is not acceptable. He asked me if I “wanted” him to examine me! Why was I there if not for an exam? His condescension epitomizes a doctor who has had too much success and not enough experience. I will not return.

Dr. Tanner is a very caring and skilled doctor. I appreciated his thoroughness and kind bedside manner as he oversaw my sister's ovarian cancer treatment. He is very polite and answers all the questions you and your family may have and never seems rushed or removed from the situation. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to treat my sister. I would recommend him to everyone.
