Dr. Edwin Levine, MD

I would never recommend this provider, and I'm a nurse. I came in for a follow-up procedure after being diagnosed/treated with an infection while traveling out of state. The visit was intended to establish care and also schedule a follow-up colonoscopy to verify the infection was gone. I provided documentation of diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow-up care to Dr. Levine, who then proceeded to tell me, "I don't believe you". I was absolutely blown away at the lack of professionalism and empathy this provider displayed to a new patient with a documented disease from another gastroenterologist! This type of behavior is a huge red flag for the type of care this provider gives his patients. I would recommend you go elsewhere for care and treatment. I obtained care elsewhere and was very pleased with their care.

Dr Levine was kind, professional and gave excellent care for my colonoscopy.

I brought my 80-year old mom in to see Dr. Levine for intestinal issues. His demeanor was very professional and friendly, which put us both at ease right away. We appreciated how he clearly explained our options and suggested the path of least panic, while ensuring he'd be available if the situation changes. It was actually a very pleasant experience. How many people can say they enjoyed their visit to the gastroenterologist??? We can. Thank you, Dr. Levine.

Dr. Levine was the epitome of a caring human being and a true medical professional. His staff and his examinations and practices during these procedures left me with the least amount of discomfort by far of any other facilities and doctors I've had in the past. There was absolutely no comparison. Upon arriving home this evening, I feel no signs of any invasive surgery even though I had two, nor any sensations of polyp removal, etc. It's like I wasn't there. No cramps, no aches, no discomfort or feelings of any sort of manipulations. Dr. Levine's staff of nurses and attendants were also the best of the best in regard to care, comfort, being attentive and listening to concerns and information. From when I met the team, the entire process was easy, pain free and very well done. Bravo to Dr. Levine and also to every member of your team.

Dr Levine left the ct practice he was with December of 2018, and never said a word! Horrible way to treat patients! Update your info! He not in ct!

I want to start this review by saying that I don't hold Dr. Levine at fault for my dissatisfaction. I made an appt with the office based on a letter they had sent me stating that it was important to followup on a condition within a certain time frame. The timing was misstated in the letter and the appointment was unnecessary and no intervention was done. I was charged as a new patient and the office has refused to discuss this issue with me and has just demanded payment despite their error.

I was referred by my physician during an 100% covered annual physical for a 100% covered colonoscopy. A five minute consultation to schedule the procedure is NOT covered by insurance & is billed at $250. Can't think of any other service provider that does not disclose fees at or before time of service
