I’ve been going to see Dr. Tylkin for several years now. She is an amazing & very intelligent woman! She is caring, she returns calls, and I never had an issue getting an appointment to see her. She goes above and beyond. I actually look forward to seeing her for my appointments! Thank you for all your help, Dr. Tylkin!!

Dr. Tylkin is very thorough and addressed all of my concerns. I would make the 45 minute drive out to her office every month when I was on private insurance, definitely worth it!

SHE IS GOING TO HURT SOMEONE WITH HER Rx MISTAKES! I’m a trauma survivor who has been on medication for severe anxiety for over 15 years. I saw this “doctor” on and off for 10 years because she was the only doctor nearby who accepted Medicaid that was able to prescribe the medication that I needed. I endured the worst treatment I’ve ever experienced from any medical “professional”. She minimized and borderline mocked my trauma, incorrectly wrote prescriptions in almost every appointment, couldn’t keep track of medication names or dosage... just a mess. I had to constantly correct her. Oh and also, I had an emergency and couldn’t make an appointment so I needed a temporary refill of a medication to get me through a week until I could reschedule. Office staff never contacted her and when I explained in the follow up appt that I was experiencing panic attacks again, she said it was my fault that I didn’t get ahold of her. This was the last straw. She NEEDS to retire!!!!

My teenage daughter saw her for a year. Every appointment, we would wait an average of 45 minutes for a 10 minute appointment. EVERY SINGLE TIME. She would regularly mis-date RXs, which the pharmacy would not fill. The last straw was when she wrote my daughter two RXs that should have been identical for two months worth of medication. She wrote one for 5mg and the next one for 10. Both should have been for 5. She is not careful about what she writes for RX, so if you do go see this doctor, double and triple check all RXs before leaving the office, because the office staff ignores calls and faxes. We will no longer be going to this office. Incredibly unprofessional.

My sister and I dropped of a woman who needed assistance at the metra station to her office in Libertyville. While we cannot speak on behalf of the doctor herself, the staff that works at the front desk is very rude. We explained the situation and told Tanya/ Tonya (?) that this woman was not family or a close friend. We went out of our way to bring a woman to your practice, do not roll your eyes and act disgruntled when we can't help with medical forms. That is your job.

She cuts you off. She doesn't listen if you are talking about something she doesn't understand (ex: I tried to explain something related to my culture of which she had no idea and cut me off). I have gone to other psychiatrists in the past and have never encountered someone as rude and unprofessional as her. From the moment I entered I felt uncomfortable. Also, the receptionists were very loudly voicing their political opinions which made me very uncomfortable and is just unprofessional.

Please Do Not waste your time! She is not a professional & has no compassion. My experience with her was horrible, i never felt so judged in my life. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable & would constantly cut me off as I was talking. Please keep looking for someone else to help you, i dont want you to go through the humiliation like i did.

Worst doctor I've ever been to. I've seen counselors and psychiatrists for over 10 years and never have I been treated so poorly and disrespected in all my years of treatment. She treated me like a second class citizen. Didn't care about my thoughts. I couldn't even finish one sentence without being interrupted. I am a office manager at a dentist office and have years of customer service experience. The fact that this woman is still allowed to practice is unfathomable.
