Did Not Follow Up
I recently had surgery with Dr. Delman, I wasn’t given the option to choose my surgeon he was just on staff the next day as I was admitted for observation. After surgery I went to our local urgent care because I knew there were issues with my healing site. I followed up with surgeon the day after visiting urgent care and explained to him how I was feeling and what our urgent care had found out. He said “That could be possible, but I know it’s just your surgical site healing from the inside.” I feel as though he didn’t take me or my follow up care seriously. So here we are 3 weeks Post Op and I have a solid knot behind my incision, low grade fever, and infection. My primary care listened to my concerns took one look at me and said “Oh No that is infected.” She started me on antibiotics and ointment immediately. Feel as though he should have taken my concerns more seriously. Considering our local urgent care was correct and something was not right internally.
