Dr. Erin Jones, MD

I have been a patient for more than 10 years and Dr Jones has seen me through routine issues and serious illnesses as well.Always responsive, thorough and willing to refer me to a specialist when needed.She is the best primary care doctor I’ve ever had.

Dr. Jones has been has too often been flippant impatient and at times rude. A witness was stunned at her overall demeanor during my appointment. There are several issues I have with her. But the deciding one was when two doctors disagreed with her about a certain medication - she then became very confrontational. In all of my appointments with her, she seemed to be in a hurry talking to me with her hand on the doorknob which was a signal to end the appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Erin Jones now for about 5 years; not the easiest one to get diagnosed either on many levels. Dr. Jones has been though, patient, sympathetic to both physical pain and mental health issues when needed. She also knows her limitations, which is refreshing, as my past primary care physicians in other (geographical) areas would either try to hide their ineptitude or tell me that my physical symptoms (which later were diagnosed as autoimmune) were all in my head. Dr. Jones never treats her patients as a imposition on her time, but she is very much engaged and delighted by the interactions she has with them. If Dr. Jones doesn't have the answer, she will find it! She will do the research, she will read the journals, articles, for rare your condition. She will get you to a specialist for your needs no matter what... and make sure that it's the one covered in your insurance. When I found Dr. Erin Jones, I finally found a doctor who would listen to me!

I have had the fortune of being a Mayo Clinic patient and they deserve the high awards for medical service they typically receive. However, Dr. Erin Jones sets a standard of health care to which I have never seen or experienced before. Her office staff and medical assistants are just as caring, accommodating and engaged. It is amazing to find a remote health care system, Barton Family Health, in So. Lake Tahoe, CA of such quality when it would be easy tell patients if you want better, go to Mayo. Dr. Jones and her staff should become the model for health care across the U.S. Healthgrades should give Dr. Jones and staff their highest award. Her careful review of records, consideration of family concerns, ability to see both the psychological as well as medical issues in play and willingness to refer to specialists beyond the So. Lake Tahoe area when the problem is more complex is unusual. I would give her 6 stars.

Dr. Jones is amazing. She is warm, engaged and listens. She provides sound medical advice and considers my health goals. She takes time to answer questions and makes me feel very comfortable.

Dr Jones has been my primary physician for a year. My initial experience with her was good, however she has become unresponsive to calls, unilaterally changed medical doses of long term prescriptions either by mistake or for some other u known reason and has refused to discuss the issue. She was also unavailable for appointments for 3 full days when I had a terrible flu. I suspected she was not actually that booked as my neighbor had a walk in appt with her the day after I called.
