Dr. Erin May, MD

I love Dr May! I find her down to earth, direct, and intelligent. She makes me feel very comfortable.

I've seen Dr. May for a few years, and recently underwent a surgical procedure to treat endometriosis under her care. When I shared my symptoms with her in one of my first appointments, she took my concerns seriously, asked good questions, and determined I was likely suffering from endo. It took me a couple years to build up the courage to have the procedure. During that time she prescribed me an NSAID nasal spray (Sprix) which was incredibly helpful in managing my pain. The day of my procedure, she was patient, caring and thorough in answering my questions before heading in to surgery. She and her team including Erica (surgery scheduler) were all attentive and kind leading up to and after the procedure. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and healthcare team.

Went to Dr. May to get advice on endo and a polyp I have. She seems nice, but she didn’t listen to me. Told me I was wrong about my own body. Told me “I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear.” She’s abrupt, which I can normally handle. But not when you’re in pain and begging for help. She’s condenscending, has a “God complex”, and needs more experience in the field. Shame on her for being a female doctor who doesn’t listen to other females.

She had her nurse call me to tell me the bad news about my impending miscarriage. She is smart and thorough but if you want an OB who cares through any outcome, she probably isn't who you want to see.

I found Dr. Shnackel to be very thorough and very patient when I asked her a lot of questions about an upcoming procedure I needed. She did a very good job with my surgery as well.

She was a wonderful doctor to have during my pregnancy. She made sure my baby and I were well taken care of. She was down to earth and easy to talk to. She was also expecting the same time I was so she definetly could relate. We even had a bet who would give birth first, I won the bet.

Dr Schnackel managed my pregnancy incredibly well, I've been pleased with the level of care I have received by her and her staff. When I started having complications in my last trimester, she was fantastic with administering treatment and tests immediately. She always answered my questions thoroughly and patiently. With all my appointments, I was only kept waiting over 10 minutes in the waiting room once, and that was for an appointment at the end of a very busy day. Her nurse is also awesome.

Worst experience with a doctor ever. I tried working with doctor and staff as we found out I was pregnant while taking a medication (paxil ) that is a no-go during pregnancy. I tried calling multiple times a day for 3 days and never got any help or any answers. I ended up in the ER and they seemed to not care at all. So frustrating and would highly recommend anyone stay away from this practice.

Went in for 8 week ultrasound following a positive pregnancy test. Unfortunately we had bad news, a blighted ovum. However she did not explain this, instead throwing the ultrasound photos in the trash in front of us. Her office then harassed me about a follow up visit for several weeks after, though I told them I would not be returning. Insensitive and unacceptable.

Very dissatisfied with office and ability to reach the them after hours. Contacted office manager in regards and was told this would be changing but after more than 3 months no change has occurred in phone message and Wendy the contact for office refuses now to take my calls or call me back. Never heard of not being able to get a hold of Dr. or someone on call. Any problems the office response is to go to the ER, No matter the problem. Would not recommend this office at all!!!

Dr Schnackel was the 4th physician I visited for my condition and the only one who truly listened to me. She acted cautiously but immediately to help relieve my pain. She explained everything in a way I could understand and so I could make the most informed decision for my overall health. I recommend her to anyone, with no pause or reservation whatsoever.
