Disappointment
I can’t say what stood out during my appointment because it keeps getting moved and cancelled, no fault of my own. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Patton in April. I called to schedule an appointment and was delighted when they scheduled me for the end of May. Five minutes after that was scheduled they called me back and said they made a mistake and that that appointment was already booked and I could not be seen until the middle of July. Just received a phone call that my appointment has been canceled because it was on a Friday and Dr. Patton will no longer be seeing patients on Fridays but they could try and fit me in at some point in August if I’d like.

If I could I would give Dr. Patton all the stars in the world! I’ve been seeing Dr. Patton for over 11 years, since I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. She has literally saved my life! She is so kind, sweet, knowledgeable and caring. She goes out of her way to make sure you are well and comfortable. She discusses with you your health issues and plans of treatments. She has even called me on weekends to check on me when I’ve been ill, she has even called me when I travelled far away to make sure I was doing well after the long flight. She’s an excellent doctor ????

After being flooded with corticosteroids for nine months, it led to severe nerve pain in my left leg. She slapped my hips and said I had bursitis, then told me I was fat. She doubted I had Lupus. Turns out I have 2 autoimmune diseases and the bursitis? An entrapped nerve that has worsened to the point I have CRPS/RSD. She spent much of the apt looking at my records, smirking, showing me a diagram of bursa. She was arrogant, reckless, and without empathy.

I have been seeing Dr Patton for I believe over 10 years. I have several autoimmune diseases, beginning with psoriatic arthritis. Very painful and exhausting. I have a regular appt with Dr Patton every 3 or so months and I am very grateful for this doctor. Managing my illness requires a “team” person so to speak and she is there. I stay up to date on my illness, when we meet , she answers any ?s I may have, discuss different possible treatments, etc. she listens and advises. Great doc

Overall experience was mediocre to average. The real scam here is that Dr. Patton's office charged us with a $150 "facility fee" - We weren't told about this before the appointment and it is not covered by insurance (even though we're in network). The 'facility fee' is a payment scam. I would characterize the staff at Dr. Patton's office as patently dishonest and untrustworthy. A note to future patients that this doctor should be avoided.

She appeared to be listening, but then she proscribed a treatment for osteoporosis that left me sick for over 2 weeks with fever, chills, headaches, muscle and bone aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, light-headed, and weak. This is after I said I was leery of taking the pills for osteoporosis that so adversely affect people's digestive system, since my system was still very fragile and not anywhere near back to normal after chemo for leukemia.

Dr. Patton can't do much for me but after seeing so many different doctors, it helped me to be able to review my treatment and medication with her. I left with a better understanding of my options. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was really nice.

I visited Dr. Patton for several years. She is fantastic in person - very helpful and easy to talk to. Her nursing staff is also very nice and helpful. My biggest concern is with her office staff. I had a terrible time getting test results or updates regarding prescription refills. Most recently, I have been waiting for more than a month for her team to send in a prescription refill request. Despite 6 phone calls, numerous "urgent" messages, no one has taken action or even called me back.

I damaged a ligament in my foot while training for a marathon. The resulting inflammation pushed my psoriasis over the edge into psoriatic arthritis. I spend 4 months dealing with a pair of podiatrists that refused to believe I had arthritis and eventually told me that I was just being a pansy even though I was having trouble walking. Within 5 minutes, Dr. Patton diagnosed me and did some blood tests to confirm. i went on medication and observation. 8 months later I ran a marathon.
