Dr. Eva Galka, MD

Dr Galka is a phenomenal surgeon. She also has an excellent beside manner, she exudes warmth and kindness. It is evident that she cares. She took her time with me to explain my condition and answered our questions (in layman terms). When she was with me I felt like I had her entire focus. She had a positive, upbeat attitude about my prognosis and pretty much saved my life (I still have a few more things to do that is not related to my surgery). I was able to recover from my surgery at a quick and safe pace. You are in good hands with Dr Galka.

I had difficulty walking at times probably due to a bloody mass moving around. From my x-rays, CT scans, Biopsy and seeing the mass on Dr. G's computer, we ascertained that the bloody mass I had from a bad fall should be removed. No Cancer was revealed from any of the scans or biopsy. I'm angry that my Kidney was removed quickly. What brought Dr. G to the point of removing my kidney even if it was touching the mass. If she wasn't sure what the Biopsy revealed, she should have ordered another biopsy since the one I had wasn't clear to her as she stated. She was in a hurry and removed the organ. She should have been more mindful of my body. She should have been able to see from tests that I didn't have Cancer. See when I was cut into. If the mass was indeed attached to the Kidney, why wasn't the mass cut away? I'm interested in knowing what happened to my Kidney that had no Cancer...Nor did she speak to me after the operation of the bloody mass. Kidneys were healthy. Infuriated.

Referred to Dr. Galka by my gastro-enterologist, i was apprehensive about the possibility of pancreatic cancer. Dr. Galka exuded confidence and warmth, allaying my fears. I had successful surgery, and a smooth and rapid recovery. I attribute this to Dr. Galka's attentive and supportive manner. She takes sufficient time to explain a situation in terms easily understood, and makes me feel as if I am her only patient. I feel fortunate to be under her care.
