Operated to straighten out a broken finger. Set it totally incorrectly insisted he redo it and again he did not straighten it out the finger. He left it clocked inappropriately making it difficult to use

The doctor took time for a very clear pre-op explanation of the alternatives unlike other practices I had asked for opinions. Operation went on time, smoothly, as planned. Very pleased with the result.

His entire team works great together to ensure that the medical process succeeds. Dr. Schumer explains what needs to be done, and why, as we looked at the x-rays. It is apparent that each staffer realizes that their role is important and they reassure the patient to make it easy. Every step of the way, they help to achieve optimal results. Dr Schumer is absolutely brilliant and skillful, and loves his work. He makes it accessible to the patient for clarity of understanding. Great medical care! You feel safe and confident throughout the wonderful experience.

Dr.Schumer saw today my son who fractured his hand. Dr.Schumer was in the room for 2.5 minutes, was abrupt, did not give me time to ask questions, he was dressed like he was going to the beach with no identifying badge and did not even introduced himself - he just walked in the room and started asking questions - no greeting or anything - i had to stop him to ask who he was. Felt uncomfortable when someone in the mask walks in and not introducing himself and not wearing any badges. Overall - unprofessional look, dismissive, arrogant attitude and terrible bedside manner.

Dr Schumer recently operated my hand for Dupuytren's contracture. My pcp advised me to wait for Dr Schumer and not take an appointment with a different hand surgeon and I'm so glad I took his advice. Dr Schumer is conservative, and he is willing to wait and watch. He is absolutely the best. The surgery was a very positive experience and my hand is straight!

I had carpel tunnel release in both my hands with Dr. Schumer and both operations went exactly as he said they would. I have had no issues since the surgery and would definitely recommend Dr. Schumer. He has a great bed side manner, is very knowledgeable and explains everything in clear concise terminology. Also, he does the endoscopic release instead of open release which had a shorter healing time.
