I first sought Dr. Sabet's help about eight months ago, and I've made concrete strides in the areas I needed to improve since then. During our initial meeting, he was willing to take the time to listen to my own thoughts on myself before he seemed to engage "doctor mode," which is a testament to how he uses his skills as a listener in order to treat his patients to the best of his ability. Since then, he has reinforced my great first impression of him at every appointment. I have seen many a medical practitioner in my day - ranging from optometrists to psychiatrists - but I've only met one other other doc with a "bedside manner" and grasp of medical knowledge as good as Dr. Sabet's.

I've seen Dr. Sabet for over a year now. As a twenty-something year old male who deals with Adult ADD and depression, I have made significant progress since the first day of seeing him. It felt like he could understand my life story just on the first visit! He gets straight to the point and doesn't push medications if that is not what is needed. It's nice that I am able to have an open conversation with him and discuss existential issues about my life and life in general. I highly recommend seeing him!

Dr. Sabet is an excellent physician because of his capacity to hear, listen to and understand what I'm going through at any given time. Dr. Sabet provides wise counsel when needed but can diagnose and prescribe medication if and when necessary. Having Dr. Sabet as my psychiatrist has allowed me to manage bouts of depression which plagued me for years. It is a comfort knowing that Dr. Sabet is available to me when I need help.

Dr Sabet gets it - his perspective on the specific challenges for ADHD patients and when to treat (or not treat) the condition is invaluable. I would recommend him to anyone who has been formally diagnosed. This is not a health care provider who will just push medications, or will increase them without significant discussion. If that is your goal, I still recommend coming to speak with him with an open mind and letting him persuade you on how to better treat your condition.

When I started looking for a new psychiatrist, I stumbled across Dr. Sabet; and, although it’s a 90 minute drive for me, there’s no other person I’d see. Dr. Sabet’s medical expertise is matched by his compassion for those he serves. He knows the importance of developing interpersonal relationships with his patients, so that he might be able to provide them the best care possible. He presents himself as confident, but also very humble—both traits that are sadly rare in psychiatry.

I've experienced many different psychiatrists over the years, and Dr. Sabet has by far been the most helpful. His medication management appointments are as positive as talk therapy sessions, and the fact that he has first-hand experience of managing his own mental health makes the experience more reassuring. The cherry on top is that unlike my previous psychiatrists that made patients wait for up to 2 hours past their appointment time, he has almost no wait time.

Dr. Sabet provides the knowledge and professionalism one would expect from a health care provider, but his temperament and ability to relate to me is what makes him exceptional. I also appreciate his openness to different approaches treating and sustaining mental health. He does not have a “one size fits all” approach to helping his patients.
