Felt ignored and as though he could care less
First off the staff and medical assistant were very kind. The MA asked about my injuries and was very thorough. Upon leaving the room I heard her began to go over the issue with Dr. Pompo who immediately halted her and stated “this is not necessary, I look at the xray so I don’t need to hear anything else.” Upon entering the room Dr. Pompo did not make any eye contact. He sat down continuing to look away and stated I had a fibula fracture and essentially asked what I was there for. I explained my concerns for ligament tendon damage due extreme pain in other areas and the fact that I felt tearing and popping when the injury occurred. I had no blunt force trauma and the fracture occurred from a violent twist. His response was “just because things tear does not mean they need to be fixed.” He eventually agreed to an mri and 2 days later I have not heard anything regarding it. I also was not answered regarding recovery time. It was like pulling teeth to get anything out of him. DO NOT USE!

All original pain gone!!
Telehealth
I've been fighting hip pain for years prior taking a fall over 2 and half years ago and that's when the real decline of my health began. So I also been battling lower back issue at the same time. I went to my orthopedic Dr. to look at my back and hip issue last year. He was convinced that it was my back causing my hip issue. Well after all the treatments I was right and finally said I need a different set of eyes. Found Dr Pompo. He looked at my X-rays and said you have a bad case of osteoarthritis. Bone on bone and I knew that because I could not walk anymore without excruciating pain. So I went through his therapy and with no luck. Then he said I have to replace your hip. He is hard to read but, what I do love he gets right to the point with no nonsense and tells you what you need without wasting your time. Straight to the point! I can walk again and cannot be more appreciative and happy. His team was awesome through the whole process. I want to thank them too and was very vital.

Unimpressed
This was a poor experience from the first call I made to this practice. On my initial call there was so much background conversation the front desk person could not hear me. This was followed by a long wait on the phone followed by being disconnected. They did call me back to continue making my appt. We exchanged information and I wanted to make this a worthwhile meeting so I inquired what I should bring along from my previous doctor. Well my appointment was never entered into their schedule- disappointing. Made a second appt to give them another chance. The room I waited in was not very clean especially the rug. It was immediately apparent Dr Pompo had zero desire to meet with me and discuss my medical issue. Poor bedside manner. One of his issues he mentioned was the lack of doctor’s notes from previous doctor. Front desk scheduling person should have mentioned this when I asked. If you have low expectations and enjoy being disappointed this is the office for you!
