I have been seeing Dr Berman for 5+ years and have only had great experiences at each visit. I have food and medication allergies, asthma, and migraines. Dr Berman has always been attentive during my appointments and taken the time to answer all of my questions and get to know me as a person beyond a patient. As I have developed new food allergies and when a case of bronchitis brought an asthma diagnosis, Dr Berman helped me navigate these changes in my health history and how to care for them. He has also been very supportive in finding the best medication for my migraine. He also takes the time to write to my insurance company to approve my migraine medication when they originally wouldn't. I would recommend Dr Berman and his team for anyone looking for an Allergist.

Great experience, correctly diagnosed my migraines
This doctor improved my daily life dramatically. After literal decades of being diagnosed with chronic sinusitis, he identified migraine on my first appointment there. Turns out, after years and years of thinking I had allergy and sinus issues, migraine was an important part of the puzzle. He treats me for migraine and asthma. I honestly am confused by some of the other reviews, he has always been helpful, attentive and frequently states that his goal is to get me to a point where my conditions are well controlled and I am comfortable.

Dr. Berman did not seem to want to listen or understand the issues I have been going though. It seemed as though he had made a prognosis in the first minute of meeting me, and was set on it even though he hadn’t gotten to hear the entire description of my allergies. It was hard to even get a word in, as he interrupted more than anything. I do not think I got to say everything I wanted to say, which is disappointing. It was honestly a very unprofessional visit overall, with him at one point yelling at the nurse down the hallway with the door wide open. All the while I’m sitting on the table in a gown with my naked back in full view. I walked away from the appointment with more questions than answers, feeling uncomfortable, confused and judged. And the best part, he gave me a prescription which I couldn’t even get because he didn’t fill out the prescription order form correctly. Do not recommend. Waste of time. Waste of money. Will be going to another allergist who actually cares.

One of the worst medical appointments I have had. Didn't listen and ridiculed me. Pushed allergy testing when I have lived with my allergies all my life. When I asked what I would gain from the testing, I was told that he would know what I was allergic to, what drugs to take and what to avoid. I know these things! Why would I risk my life with this testing to do what I am already doing? Why would I lie about my allergies to cats, horses, and dust? What would I gain from that? When I asked if these tests could help with my urticaria I was told that came from dog's shedding problem?!? My non-shedding 9 pound Poodle? The urticaria I have had for 40 years is caused by my non-shedding dog I have had for 10 years. Then Dr. Berman accused me of not telling him anything so he wasn't able to treat me. To prove he was smarter than me he wrote me the prescription "you want" for a drug that had been discontinued. Save your time and co-pay.

I have been seeing Dr. Berman for almost 20 years. I have found him to always be professional and understanding. My initial appointment was for asthma but when he learned that I had been experiencing frequent headaches, he addressed that concern as well. I wish he was my Primary.

If I'm looking for pity I'll call my mom, a solution I call Dr. Berman's office. That said, I've always felt genuinely cared for by this professional and highly competent doctor in the treatment of my asthma and migraines. I don't find him arrogant at all as some have stated. I find him confident and he obviously know his stuff, nothing wrong and everything right with that. I don't need my wrong ideas or ignorance sympathized with to get better I need to humbly appreciate the solid truth and good recommendations of one who can actually help me and Dr. Berman has.

Dr. Berman was incredibly arrogant and did not listen at all to my concerns or look over my medical history. I started to count the number of times he rolled his eyes, openly laughed at me, or made derogatory comments. I canceled any follow up visits with him and will be looking for another clinic.

Dr.Berman is rude and doesn’t explain options for treatment. He gave me a steroid shot for a simple allergy issue. He did this without explaining options and all possible side effects. For an allergy issue that would that would have ended sometime in May, he gave me a steroid shot, the side effects of which I am still experiencing. If you are looking for someone who would listen to your concerns and present options for treatment, do not see Dr.Berman.

I see Dr. Berman for migraines. He is a little quirky, but gets the job done. He isn’t satisfied until the problem is fixed. In my case, I had constant migraines for over four months. He made room for me in his schedule when the meds weren’t working. He listens to my concerns and questions. He is passionate about his field and is excited to share new research. Dr. Berman has play a major role in reducing the number of migraines I experience each month!

Dr. Berman came across as rude and arrogant. He interrupted me several times while I was trying to explain my allergy concerns and was completely ineffective in answering my questions about recent allergic reactions I've had, and did not help to identify the cause of the reaction. I will be requesting a new doctor for all follow-up visits.

I found Dr Berman to be rude, disrespectful and inept at helping patients. He could not explain what was going on and proceeded to then give me medications. His nurse had to come into the room after the visit to apologize for his behavior. I will never go to this doctor or clinic again.

After two appointments with him, I am switching to another allergist. Dr. Berman is arrogant, poor social skills, does not listen to the patient. His treatment approaches also seem outdated.
