Experienced Surgeon, Excellent Care!
Dr. Gropper did surgery on my spine after a traumatic injury. He visited me every day in the hospital leading up to my surgery and again a few times after my surgery was over. He not only had a great personality, but he was very skilled, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I had a lot of questions, and he answered most of them very well. A few related to my anxiety (I was a nervous wreck before surgery) he did kind of brush off, but it was done in such a way that reassured me that he knew what he was doing and I shouldn't worry. I am so grateful that it was this surgeon who helped to fix my broken bone, as he as very skilled and so much could have gone wrong. Instead of post-surgical issues, I am back to doing everything and anything I could so before my injury and I know I owe that largely to Dr. Gropper and him taking the time to do things the right way!

Disappointing
I’m sad to say Dr Gropper was a real disappointment. I found him rude and arrogant from the start. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired.

I have used Dr. Gropper since 1987 when he repaired a back surgery that another Dr. botched. Due to deteriorating disc disease I have required several other surgeries. He has done all 6. Heaven forbid that I will need another, but if I do I plan on using Dr. Gropper.

I strongly recommend Dr. Gropper. He performed surgery on my back (L-4, L-5, S-1) four years ago, and I have had no problems since then. Prior to the surgery, post op, and during follow-up exams, he was very easy to talk to and very responsive to my many questions, and I never felt rushed. I have already recommended him to friends, and will continue to do so.

Dr Gropper performed 2 level ACDF just under 2 weeks ago. Already I have substantially less pain and feel younger/stronger. I am 39 but felt years older from pain/weakness. Before surgery, I was a prisoner in my own body from pain. Everyday tasks like feeding my dogs had become unbearable. Dr. Gropper and his team took excellent care of me. Dr. Gropper even called me to make sure I made it home the evening of my surgery! I haven't felt this good in years. If you have pain, make an appointment with Dr. Gropper and his team today.

I have never had any problems with this practice or it's doctors! I wish all my doctors are as concerned about my medical conditions as every doctor in this practice. Not only are the doctors concerned about my medical condition but so are their entire staff. What a fabulous medical practice and I would recommend this practice!

Dr Gropper is the best! After seeing 9 doctors in the past year, he had my back fixed almost immediately! I am walking up straight and feel 100% better. He and God have given me a miracle! The office visit was very comforting! I think he has a wonderful staff! Every member of his staff is very friendly and treats everyone as family! I have recommended to all my friends if they need his expertise, that they see him!

Great personality. he does not have the usual deadpan personality most surgeons have. He is friendly, engaging and concerned about you as a person, not just a surgical case.

Dr. Gropper was very professional. He was a bit stiff at the original exam, but warmed up at the next 2 office visits. complement him on sending me to a Neurologist for an examination. The Neurologist discovered I had a rare paralysis caused by my former diabetes combined some sort of auto-immune disorder. after 4 months in bed I have 98% of my leg function back without surgery. If he had not sent me I would have back surgery.
