Wonderful
I was assigned Dr. Ivery as my OB. Through out my pregnancy Dr. Ivery was amazing to me and would take her time to answer questions if I had any. My baby was frank breech my whole pregnancy but Dr. Ivery assured me and comforted me and let me know my options. Ultimately a C section was what would be best for my baby and I. Dr Ivery performed a C section on me that went wonderfully. Before the surgery I was nervous and anxious, but Dr. Ivery’s comfort and positive attitude was everything that I needed in that time. The scar is minimal and the most important part is that baby girl is here healthy as can be. So thankful and blessed to have had a great and smooth operation because of Dr. Ivery.

Unauthorized Procedure During Cervical Exam
A membrane sweep was conducted on my wife without her consent during a cervical exam. She proceeded to write in the medical notes that she received verbal approval, which is a lie. We have filed a complaint, and requested for her to redact the false statements on the medical notes. Let this be a warning for anyone who is pregnant and has Dr. Ivery as their provider.

At my first prenatal appt with Dr. Ivery, she was upbeat & enthusiastic. She gave me a great impression & I walked out of the room thinking I was in good hands. However, the following appointments were all big disappointments. I felt rushed, unnoticed, & that my questions were unanswered. This was my 1st pregnancy & I had questions. I felt like she kept saying “it’s normal”. As a person who works w/ clients, regardless if it’s “normal” it’s your job to educate your patients to make them feel acknowledge & understood. All my appts lasted no more than 5 minutes. I agree w/ the person below who stated that Dr. Ivery strip her membrane. At my 38 wk appt, I felt the most painful experience during my visit. It wasn’t like any of my other appts. I was told that I haven’t dilated yet. I strongly believe she strip my membranes w/out my permission. My water broke 2 days later from what I believe her stripping my membrane on the day she is schedule to be in the hospital. What a “coincidence”.

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! Dr. Ivery is a quick talker and rushed through all my appointments with her. She never sat down in any of my appointments, always ready to leave the room, and never took the time to truly ask HOW ARE YOU. Being my first pregnancy, I had a ton of questions and never felt like I had the time. With every OB appointment, I had to wait 30 minutes + and then only saw her for less than 5 minutes. After my last experience, I had to change OB’s at 38 weeks because of how detached I felt she was with my care. I came in with high blood pressure and within seeing her for less than 5 minutes, she had checked my baby’s heartbeat, told me she wanted me induced, gave me a 10 how my cervix exam will be (which was painful and bloody) and then told me to rush to labor & delivery to check for preeclampsia….She also swept my membranes and tried to induce my labor WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I found this out later in my medical notes. I have filed a complaint against her with Kaiser.

I had Dr. Ivery through my pregnancy with my first daughter. She is probably good if you don't know what you want, but I wanted an all natural, minimally invasive pregnancy and birth, and she was almost antagonistic about it. Also, be aware, she induces labor at 38 weeks without asking by stripping membranes.
