After being told I needed to have brain surgery while in Florida and not feeling comfortable with the idea of someone cutting into my brain and feeling pressured and rushed, I came and contacted Dr. Appleboom. I gave him all of the CT Scan and MRI disk I had bought home from the hospital in Florida. He thoroughly reviewed and discussed everything with me and my husband. The manner in which he conducted himself and explained my illness was on point. He gave me the confidence I needed to go through with my surgery. He even suggested I go home, take time to think about it, and get back to him. But I knew, he was the one to perform my surgery. I trusted him. My surgery was done on July 5th and here it is 18 days later and I am feeling blessed and forever thankful for the top notch service he has provided me with. I am a firm believer that we all have two lives, the first one we are given and the second one, second chance. Dr. Appleboom made it possible for me to have that second chance!

I went to Dr. Appelboom many months after my injury, barely able to hold my head up, two discs were non-existent with one going into my spinal cord causing Myelopathy. I’ve been through a lot in my life when it comes to hospitals and doctors as I’ve seen far too many to remember them all… however, I will NEVER forget Dr. Appelboom! What a GREAT human being, truly!!! He actually cares about his patients like family and you could easily feel his huge and earnestly caring heart. I cannot say anything bad about this wonderful man, and certainly there are not enough KIND words to describe him! I highly recommend Dr. Appelboom, and it should be taken seriously. I honestly wish I could be more eloquent in my heartfelt sentiment towards the good Doctor… I pray you make a great decision and see Dr. Appelboom if circumstances should dictate because, I swear, you will not regret it! Went in with high hopes considering his promotional video referred to a condition I was told I most likely have by other surgeons, but he was reluctant to dive into my case. I was eager to get my points across and lay out my symptoms, but I could tell early on in the conversation that he wasn't listening to me. It's truly deflating when you write up pages worth of symptoms in preparation that get ignored. I would've even been satisfied with him answering or even brainstorming as to why I feel a certain way, but got the typical "have you tired Lyrica yet" type of conversation which I've been through too many times. Anyways, referred me to an out of network provider in NYC who doesn't have many appointments available. Sigh, onto the next one.

The best spine surgeon out in NJ! He really care about his patients and will listen to you until he finds a way to help you. Thank god I found Dr Appelboom!!!

Did a quick exam and said it was hip not my spine . My journey was to seek the best dr to diagnose me and look close at mri and nerve test . He did not offer a nerve test ! Saw 9 surgeons . All said it WAS the spine . Nerve test proved that w symptoms of not being able to walk on right leg without extreme pain ! Found my surgeon and very disappointed in Dr Appleboom and his approach with no empathy and a long wait for a short visit and he just walked out while I was in tears . Going in with Dr Mahmood for a fusion and Tlif . Can’t wait to be pain free !
